The present invention relates to the application of fiber length measurement in the blowroom or carding room of a spinning mill. A method and an apparatus in a textile processing machine are described in which before and/or after a working element of the textile processing machine the nep count and/or the fiber length (staple) is determined, with an open-loop/closed-loop control unit being provided which receives the values for the fiber length and/or the nep count as input and determines therefrom the optimized machine setting data and outputs the same to at least one actuator of a working element which influences the nep count and/or the staple of the textile processing machine.

Method and apparatus for fiber length measurement

A card is equipped with a regulating drafting system at the card delivery arrangement. The measuring values for regulating the drafting system are obtained from the drafted fibre sliver. The sliver depositing device can be pre-controlled relative to the drafting system in order to keep the stresses in the fibre sliver between the drafting system and the sliver depositing device within limits. A fibre sliver storage device ( ) is arranged upstream from the regulating drafting system ( ) with relatively small capacity. A device for grinding clothing teeth and wire, or for cleaning cylinders, in a textile machine includes a grinding part having an elastic layer and grinding elements embedded throughout the elastic layer. The elastic layer is formed into a shape for being pressed against the clothing teeth, wire, or cylinder of the textile machine, and is formed of a material such that the elastic layer is worn by the clothing teeth, wire, or cylinder. In this way, the underlying embedded grinding elements are exposed.

Grinding or cleaning device for a textile machine

A flock transportation device with a switching device for the flock stream includes a monitoring apparatus which detects the degree of contamination of the fiber material. The monitoring apparatus includes an evaluation device which determines the cleaning requirements of the detected material and which controls the switching device accordingly. A flock processing installation is contemplated with several transportation paths which comprise different treatment characteristics. Additionally, the flock processing installation can be controlled by way of a central control systems.

Machine with a drafting arrangement for processing textile material

The present invention concerns a drafting system (,) with a drive (M,) provided with a regulating device (M,) for levelling out mass variations in a fiber mass (,) supplied to the drafting system by a supply source (,). The mass variations are detected by at least one measuring sensor (,) coordinated to the drafting system and the corresponding signals are transmitted to a control unit (S). A further device (,) may be coordinated to the drafting system (,) which is suitable for detecting differences between the delivery speed of the supply source (,) and the intake speed of the drafting system (,) and apply it for influencing the base rotational speed of the drafting system or to detect long term mass variations from a predetermined desired value in which arrangement these mass deviations detected are applied for influencing the base rotational speed of the drafting system.

Regulated drawing frame

The main drum diameter (D) of a card for short staple carding is reduced. The working width preferentially is enlarged. The main drum (,) can be made from fiber reinforced synthetic material. Notwithstanding its smaller diameter, the new main drum is operated at the same or a somewhat higher circumferential speed (in comparison to a conventional card).

High performance card

A system is provided for processing textile fibers. A bale plucker removes fiber flocks from bales of fiber material and a flock transporting system delivers the flocks from the bale plucker to a carding machine or other processing apparatus. A feed chute is configured with the card machine and includes a first part for receiving flocks from the flock transporting system, and a second part for delivering a fiber lap to the card machine. A cleaning device is disposed within the feed chute between the first and second parts. The cleaning device comprises a fine cleaning nip feed arrangement. This nip feed arrangement in the feed chute is the only fine cleaning nip feed arrangement within the system between the bale plucker and the cleaning device.

Plant for processing fibers

In a plant for processing textile fibers, the fine cleaning is effected at a point at which the stream of fiber material already has been subdivided (e.g. for the subsequent carding process), e.g. in the card filling chute. The cleaning device comprises at least one separating element arranged above the transporting roll. The trash eliminating system includes a system for eliminating material separated from the zone of the roll.
