The various aspects presented herein relate to the perfumery industry. More particularly, the various aspects presented herein relate to compositions and/or ingredients that increase a subjects perception of musk compounds, methods for intensifying a subjects perception of musk compounds, as well as to the perfumed articles or perfuming compositions comprising as an active ingredient, a compound of Formula (I).

Use of volatile compounds to modulate the perception of musk

A composition for counteracting malodour due to thiols, with the composition including a polyphenol, a source of polyphenol, a composition comprising polyphenol or mixtures thereof, a base, and optionally, an enzyme, wherein the polyphenol is encapsulated. The polyhenol is preferably a green tea extract and the enzyme is polyphenol (per)oxidase acetone powder.

Malodour counteracting composition

The invention concerns a composition capable of indicating by color change when consumer articles, particularly volatile material dispensers, containing or associated with the composition have become inefficient in use. The composition includes: a) a volatile liquid component, b) a non-volatile component of an oxide or hydroxide of the metals of group III or IV of the periodic table and a polymer obtainable by the reaction, in the presence of the volatile liquid component, of a functionalized polymer with a cross-linking, and c) a dye capable of changing color as a function of the medium in which it is incorporated. Optionally, the composition can also contain an effective amount of an acidic compound. The invention also concerns the consumer article containing the composition, in particular a device aimed to diffuse a volatile or partially volatile liquid, more specifically an air freshener.

A fragrance delivery system which releases fragrant alcohols upon exposure to light. The system comprises 2-benzoyl benzoates of general formulae ##STR1## which can comprise various subtituents R.sub.1 -R.sub.5 as defined in the application and a substituted R* which is the organic part of a fragrant alcohol.
