In an approach to cooperative evidence gathering, a first computing device receives a request for data corresponding to an event, where a second computing device detecting the event initiates the request for data. The first computing device aggregates data from one or more sensors, the one or more sensors associated with one or more first computing devices within a proximity of a location of the event. The first computing device determines whether at least a portion of the aggregated data is applicable to the event.

Cooperative evidence gathering

A method, system, and computer program product for random number generation using a network of mobile devices are provided in the illustrative embodiments. From a set of mobile devices, a corresponding set of data packets is received. A presence of raw sensor data is detected in a first data packet received from a first mobile device in the set of mobile devices. The raw sensor data comprises data corresponding to changing value of an output of a sensor in a set of sensors installed in the first mobile device. The raw sensor data is separated from the first data packet, resulting in an original data packet. A first random number is generated using the raw sensor data.

Random number generation using a network of mobile devices

A mechanism is provided for securely associating an application with a well-known entity. A determination is made as to whether an identified application has an associated certificate. Responsive to the identified application having the associated certificate, a determination is made as to whether the associated certificate is issued from a certificate authority associated with the well-known entity trusted by a user of the identified application, where the certificate authority is in a separate domain from an application marketplace where the application was obtained. Responsive to the associated certificate being issued by the certificate authority associated with the well-known entity trusted by the user of the identified application, an indication is provided to the user that the application is trusted in context to interactions with the certificate authority.
