A backrest adjuster () is provided for a seat. The seat includes a backrest () that can be adjusted relative to a seat part () by a fitting () and which is arranged in a longitudinally displaceable manner. When the backrest () is displaced from a seating position (P) to an entry position (P), a gear unit () actuates a tension element () that unlatches a rail adjuster () and latches same when the backrest () is displaced in the opposite position. A vehicle seat is provided that includes such a backrest adjuster ().

A motor vehicle seat () includes a rear foot (), a backrest (), pivotable relative to the rear foot () about a backrest rotational axis (A), and a longitudinally adjusting seat rail pair (). A seat rail locking device () locks the seat rail pair (). A lockable fitting allows the backrest () to pivot into an easy-entry position for rear access. An annular drive element () is rotatably mounted about the backrest rotational axis (A). The drive element has a latch () that is caught by a driver (), arranged on the backrest (), when the backrest () is pivoted into the easy-entry position, whereby the backrest can subsequently be carried along. An actuation lever () acts on the latch () such that the latch () is not caught by the driver () when the backrest () is pivoted, and the backrest can be pivoted beyond the easy-entry position.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat () has an easy-entry module (). A backrest () is adjustable relative to a seat part () between at least one comfort position (P) and at least one easy-entry position (P). The backrest () is, together with the seat part (), arranged so as to be longitudinally displaceable by way of rails () along a movement travel (W) over a longitudinal adjustment range (L) at least between two seat positions (Sto S). To limit the movement travel (W), at least one switchable abutment () is provided in the region of the rails (). The backrest () is, at a predefined seat position (S), settable upright by way of the switchable abutment () from the easy-entry position (P) into the comfort position (P) and lockable to the seat part () in the predefined seat position (S).
