A planetary gear box (and method of assembly), where the gear box includes a sun gear, a plurality of planet gears, a ring gear, a plurality of planet pins, an axially forward carrier plate and an axially rearward carrier plate. Each planet pin is fixed respectively at its axially forward end on the axially forward carrier plate and at its axially rearward end on the axially rearward carrier plate of the planetary gear box. The planet pin is of two-part design and forms a radially outer pin part and a radially inner pin part, which are connected to one another in a manner precluding relative rotation therebetween, wherein the radially outer pin part forms a bearing with the planet gear, and only the radially inner pin part is fixed at its axial ends to the forward and rearward carrier plates.

Planetary gearbox

A planetary gear with a sun wheel, a hollow wheel and a planetary carrier on which a planetary wheel is rotatably mounted. In the axial direction on a first side of the planetary carrier, the sun wheel and hollow wheel include connection areas for coupling the sun wheel and hollow wheel to rotatable or torque-proof areas of an engine. The planetary carrier has a connection area for attaching to rotatable or torque-proof areas of the engine on its opposite second side. The structural component stiffnesses of the sun wheel, planetary carrier, the hollow wheel and the planetary wheel are adjusted to each other such that, during operation they have twistings in the axial direction of the planetary gear that respectively qualitatively correspond to each other between the connection areas and side areas facing away from the connection areas due to the respectively applied torques.

Planetary gear

A planetary gearbox, a splined sleeve, a gas turbine engine with a planetary gearbox and a method for producing a torque-proof connection between a planetary carrier and a support element. The splined sleeve is formed with an outer substantially cylindrical shell surface area and an inner conical shell surface area, and is inserted between the planetary carrier and the support element for creating the torque-proof connection. The diameter of the inner conical shell surface area decreases in the axial direction, starting from an end of the splined sleeve in the direction of a second end of the splined sleeve. The outer cylindrical shell surface area is formed in a stepped manner. The outer cylindrical shell surface area comprises a first cylindrical section and a second cylindrical section which has a diameter larger than the diameter of the first cylindrical section. Between the sections, a conical area is provided.

Planetary gear, splined sleeve, gas turbine engine with a planetary gear and method for manufacturing a planetary gear

A planetary gearbox device for a turbomachine, having a planet carrier and at least one planet gear arranged rotatably thereon, is described. The planet gear is arranged in the axial direction between two planet carrier regions, to each of which at least one carrier element, on which the planet gear is rotatably mounted, is connected for conjoint rotation therewith. A wedging sleeve is arranged between the carrier element and each of the planet carrier regions, by means of each of which wedging sleeves a press-fit joint is established between the carrier element and the planet carrier regions. A sleeve is provided radially between at least one of the wedging sleeves and a planet carrier region.

Planetary gear device, gas turbine engine and method for manufacturing a planetary gear device

A planetary gear device for a turbomachine includes a planetary carrier and planetary wheel arranged in an axial direction between two planetary carrier areas connected to a support appliance, with the planetary wheel rotatably mounted on the support appliance. On outer sides facing away from the planetary wheel, the planetary carrier areas include cone surfaces that enclose connection areas with the support appliance, with diameters decreasing with increasing axial distance from the planetary wheel. Cone surfaces of a tensioning appliance radially enclose and are respectively adjusted thereto and act together such that a force that respectively results from an axial tensioning force of the tensioning appliance applied on the cone surfaces of the planetary carrier areas is applied at the connection areas between the support appliance and the planetary carrier areas. The tensioning appliance cone surfaces operatively connect via a coupling element.

Planetary gear device for a turbomachine

A planetary gear system for a gas turbine engine with a plurality of planetary gears coupled to a carrier device, with front planetary gears mounted on pins in a front row and aft planetary gears mounted on pins in an aft row, the two rows being parallel to each other in the axial direction of the planetary gear system. The carrier device includes a base structure being in one piece with the carrier device, the base structure positioned around a rotational axis of the gas turbine engine. The pins are coupled to the carrier device through first and second extension elements for the positioning of the pins relative to the base structure. The second extension elements axially extending the respective pins further away from the base structure than the pins positioned by the first extension elements.
