The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for automatically extending a partially-editable dataset copy. One example method includes identifying, for a data set, extension filter criteria that extends a current filter that defines an editable portion of the data set. An extended filter is automatically generated for the data set based on the extension filter criteria and the current filter. Additional data is copied into the partially-editable copy of the data set based on the extended filter and the current filter to generate an updated partially-editable copy of the data set. The current filter is replaced with the extended filter to create a new current filter. An updated exposed view is generated using the new current filter that exposes the updated partially-editable copy of the data set and an updated non-editable portion of the data set.

Automatic extension of a partially-editable dataset copy

The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for automatically generating a partially-editable dataset copy. One example method includes receiving an edit request from a user to edit a data set. A filter for the data set is determined, based on a context of the edit request. The filter is used to generate a partially-editable copy of the data set that includes the editable portion of the data set. An exposed view of the data set is generated that exposes the partially-editable copy of the data set and a non-editable portion of the data set. The exposed view of the data set is provided to the user and a change to a data item in the editable portion of the data set is received. The data item in the partially-editable copy of the data set is updated based on the change.

Efficient support for automatic generation of a partially-editable dataset copy

Provided are systems and methods for resolving conflicts between different versions of a database file. In one example, the method may include one or more of receiving, at a database, a request to publish a modified version of a database file modified by a user having privileges to update the database file, detecting, during a merge operation, a conflict between one or more data values included in the unpublished modified version of the database file and one or more corresponding data values in an intervening version of the database file published by another user that also has privileges to update the database file, and outputting a user interface displaying an identification of the one or more conflicting data values and one or more selections for resolving the one or more conflicting data values.

A system includes determination of a query context comprising a measure and one or more dimension values of a data source, generation of a query of the data source for the measure over time and aggregated over the one or more dimension values, reception of a result set of the query, providing of the result set to a predictive analysis engine, and reception of forecast data based on the result set, the forecast data comprising forecast values of the measure over time, aggregated over the one or more dimension values.

According to some embodiments, input data may be received from a data source in an enterprise database in accordance with an enterprise performance management planning model, stored by a processor at the enterprise database. An operation may then be performed on the input data to produce a result. The result may then be stored in a data target, wherein the data target points to a data holding entity in an instantiation of a plan data container at the enterprise database.
