A multiway valve having a housing with an axially movable main valve body reciprocally mounted therein between first and second positions. The main valve body is received in a main valve chamber and a control valve chamber. A flexible and axially movable diaphragm is connected to and extends between the housing and the main valve body to block the communication between the main valve chamber and the control valve chamber. The housing has a working port and a main vent bore therein communicating with each other past a valve seating structure on the housing and the main housing valve body which controls communication therebetween in response to movements of the main valve body between the first and second positions. One side of the diaphragm is in communication with the main vent bore at all times. A passageway is provided in the housing and a valve is disposed in the passageway for controlling the supply of pressurized fluid to the control valve chamber. An annular spring having radially inwardly extending resilient arms thereon is mounted in said control valve chamber adjacent the diaphragm. An annular member is disposed between the annular spring and the diaphragm with the resilient arms engaging the annular member to urge same toward the diaphragm.

Multiway valve

A valve arrangement having a housing with an inlet for pressurized fluid and an outlet. A chamber is provided in the housing having a flexible diaphragm therein dividing the chamber into a control chamber and a pressure chamber. The pressure chamber and the control chamber are each connected in fluid circuit with the pressurized fluid supplied to the inlet through a constant cross section throttle opening. An analogue pressure regulator is provided for maintaining the pressure of the pressurized fluid in the control chamber constant independent of pressure variations in the pressure of the pressurized fluid. The analogue pressure regulator includes a control opening providing fluid communication from the control chamber to the outlet and a pivotally supported armature movable into and out of blocking relation with the control opening. A resilient mechanism is provided for resiliently biasing the armature so that its effective weight adjacent the control opening is approximately nil and is generally in a floating relation relative to the control opening so that pressure variations in the pressurized fluid will effect a pivoting of the armature and a consequent maintaining of the pressure in the control chamber constant. An electric magnetizing coil is mounted on the housing in magnetizing relation to the armature.

Valve arrangement

A working cylinder for pneumatic or hydraulic pressure media has a piston reciprocable in a cylinder chamber closed at one end. The cylinder and the piston have polygonal cross-sections. The end of the cylinder may be closed by a cylinder cap secured in place by bolts passing through it and threaded in the ends of the cylinder. Polygonal seals are provided between the cylinder caps and the piston and the interior walls of the cylinder. Two opposed walls of the cylinder may be thicker than the outer walls, and provided with through holes for attachment means.
