To secure earphones in the auditory canal of a user, ear tips are used. In an improved earphone, which reduces or avoids pressure sores occurring in the ear of the user, a hard stub of the housing no longer protrudes as hitherto into the ear tip, and instead a soft receiving tube of the ear tip is secured in the housing. By means of this inverse receiving principle, the ear tip can better conform to the auditory canal and thus enhances the wearing comfort. For assembly, the tube is plugged into an opening in the housing so that a projection of the tube engages in a depression or inner shoulder behind the opening and thus secures the ear cushion on the housing.

Earphone

Earphones intended for being worn in the ear canal (in-ear headphones) usually contain an ear pad, which the user may exchange for other ear pads of different sizes. Also earmolds, which are alternatively useable, can easily be exchanged. The ear pad or earmold can be mounted on a receptacle of the earphone. For mechanically or acoustically adjusting the frequency response of the earphone, the ear pad or earmold has at least one cavity. When the ear pad or earmold is mounted on the earphone's receptacle, the cavity is acoustically connected with the sound channel of the ear pad or earmold and is adapted for acting as an acoustic resonator, in particular as a Helmholtz resonator, in the audible frequency range.

An earphone and connection cable can be connected to the housing of the earphone with a robust and reliable plug connection. The plug connection includes a coaxial plug having rotationally symmetrical plug contacts and is surrounded with a plastic encapsulation. When the plug connection is inserted the plastic encapsulation forms a first bearing location for receiving mechanical forces acting laterally on the plug while at least one of the plug contacts of the coaxial plug forms a second bearing location for receiving such forces. The distance from the first to the second bearing location in that case is greater than the diameter of the plug contacts of the coaxial plug.

Earphones with removable connection cable

There is provided a headset having at least one microphone for detecting ambient noises, at least one electroacoustic reproduction transducer and a control unit for controlling the headset. The headset also has a digital active noise reduction unit for performing digital active noise reduction based on the ambient noises recorded by the microphone. The headset further has a data interface for receiving data and/or parameters for the headset and for outputting data and/or parameters stored in the headset.

Headset and headphone

There is provided a headset having a head band, at least one fork for receiving an earpiece and a receiving portion between an end of the head band and one of the forks. The fork is arranged pivotably about a pivot axis. The fork has a first end having a support element. The receiving portion has a slider having at least two receiving positions. The support element engages into one of the at least two receiving positions of the slider and thus limits the maximum deflection of the fork about the pivot axis.

Thus there is provided an earphone or headset comprising at least one electroacoustic reproduction transducer for the reproduction of audio signals, an electric connecting cable, and a damping unit for damping solids-borne sound transmitted by the connecting cable. The damping unit is in the form of a separate component.

Earphone and headset

An earphone, a headset, and an ear pad for an earphone. The ear pad may having the sealing integrity guaranteed. The headset may have portions with different degrees of softness or firmness.

There is thus provided an earphone comprising a housing () for receiving an electroacoustic transducer, and an ear cushion unit () having an ear cushion material () and a first ring (). The housing has a sealing ring () and a latching unit (). The first ring () has a prestressing when it is placed on the sealing ring () and held by means of the latching unit ().

Provided is an electroacoustic transducer having a diaphragm (). The diaphragm () has a first and a second region (), wherein the hardness, stiffness or compliance of the first region () differs from the second region ().

There is provided an earphone comprising a hoop () with a first and a second pivot point (A, B) at least one end of the hoop (). The earphone has at least one earpiece () for receiving at least one electroacoustic transducer. The earpiece () has a first and a second pivot point (A, B). The earphone further has a first coupling element () for coupling the first pivot point (A) of the hoop () to the first pivot point (A) of the earpiece () and a second coupling element () for coupling the second pivot point (B) of the hoop () to the second pivot point (B) of the earpiece ().

Earphone, headset and ear protector

There is provided a communication system having at least one headset () for recording speech signals with a directional information signalling device () for detecting directional information. The communication system further has a communication unit () which has a direction evaluation unit () for evaluating the items of directional information produced by the directional information signalling device. The communication unit further has a channel selection unit () for receiving the recorded speech signals (c) and for selecting an output channel (OUT-OUTi) in dependence on the items of directional information detected and evaluated by the direction evaluation unit ().

Communication system

The invention relates to a headset comprising at least one earphone and a headset microphone for registering voice signals of the headset wearer. The headset microphone is fixed to one of the earphones. The earphone comprises at least one electroacoustic transducer, a rear volume, and a front volume which lies in front of the electroacoustic transducer. A first channel runs from the exterior through the earphone to the front volume. In addition, at least one acoustic filter and/or a microphone is arranged inside the first channel, in which a mechanical filter which protects against dirt and/or moisture is also disposed.

In-ear headset and in-ear earphone

The invention is directed to a spreading head harness for headphones or headsets and to headphones or headsets having a spreading head harness of this kind. In order to provide a spreading head harness for headphones or headsets which automatically spreads when opening or widening and remains spread during use and in which the partial harnesses are automatically brought together again after use, it is suggested to use partial harnesses and/or connection members of which the end areas twist around the longitudinal axis relative to the spring regions, the end areas are bent relative to the curvature, and a mechanical tension is generated in the partial harness when mounted.
