The invention relates to an electric hand tool comprising a housing manufactured from a first material, for instance plastic, a first shaft which is mounted in at least a first bearing and a second shaft which extends parallel to the first shaft and is coupled to the first shaft by means of a transmission and which is mounted in at least a second bearing, wherein both bearings are intersected by a plane extending perpendicularly of the shafts, wherein a plate manufactured from a second material that is stronger than the first material is arranged extending perpendicularly of the shafts, which plate fixes the first and second bearing in at least partially confining manner at least in radial direction.

Transmission between electric motor and tool shaft, for instance for hand tools such as an electric screwdriver and the like, which transmission is provided with an adjustable breaking coupling for discontinuing the drive torque on the tool shaft when a predetermined resistance moment on this tool shaft is exceeded, wherein the breaking coupling in the form of two mutually slidable parts is provided with a signal generator for controlling a member influencing the motor feed, which signal generator comes into operation as soon as the two parts slide relative to one another when the set torque is exceeded, so that a disengagement takes place between motor and tool shaft immediately after the desired resistance moment is exceeded, wherein the inertia of the rotating parts no longer has any effect on the tool shaft so that it stops immediately.

Torque release mechanism for an electronically powered tool

The invention relates to an electric hand tool comprising a housing, a reciprocating carrier for an operating member drivable by means of an electric motor placed in the housing, wherein the carrier is guided by at least two guide members fixed in the housing, wherein the guide members each comprise two guides placed on either side of the carrier, wherein one of the guides is fixedly attached and the other guide is provided with means for urging the guide against the carrier. The occurrence of play, wear, noise nuisance and vibrations is thus avoided. According to a preferred embodiment, both guides forming part of a guide member are formed by guide rollers received in a frame and the frame is fixedly mounted by means of a shaft extending through one of the guide wheels and a spring is placed between the housing and the frame such that the spring urges the other guide wheel into contact with the carrier.

A device for driving a drilling and/or impacting tool including a shaft journalled in a housing so as to be rotatable, if necessary. One end of the shaft is connectable with the tool whereas the other end is accessible for an oscillatory impact body movable in the housing by a guide, a rotatable driving shaft setting and a transmission. The transmission includes a device for converting the rotary movement of the driving shaft into an oscillatory movement of a driving element which is connected through an elastic member with the impact body.

Device for driving a drilling and/or impacting tool

A surface sander having a housing with a handle and a motor with a motor shaft arranged in a bearing of a sanding foot which is connected through a flexible body with the housing, is disclosed. A dust hood encloses the motor, the housing, the flexible body and the sanding foot. Two parts of the hood are mutually lockable, and the flexible body has an upper annular rim which can be clamped between a bottom rim of the motor housing and the dust hood parts. A lower annular rim is fastened to the sanding foot and a number of spring strips connects the upper annular rim to the lower annular rim, so that the sanding foot can be mounted on the machine in a simple manner by the dust hood without the need for additional fastening devices.

A commutator motor specifically designed for incorporation into portable machine tools such as a hand drill includes a stator winding arranged in a machine housing, and a rotor winding including a rotor shaft with a commutator ring journalled in the housing. Electrical connection between the commutator and current supply is ensured by multiple pairs of diametrically opposed carbon brushes of opposite polarity, the brushes being supported in the machine housing such that each respective pair of brushes can be separately brought into contact with the commutator by a lever capable of engaging the respective pairs of brushes. Various holder configurations support the brushes.

A commutator motor specifically designed for incorporation into portable machine tools such as a hand drill includes a stator winding in a machine housing, and a rotor winding including a rotor shaft with a commutator ring journalled in the housing. Electrical connection between the commutator and current supply is ensured by multiple pairs of diametrically opposed carbon brushes of opposite polarity, the brushes being supported in the machine housing such that each respective pair of brushes can be separately brought into contact with the commutator by a setting means capable of engaging the respective pairs of brushes. Various holder configurations for supporting the brushes include sliding cams.
