A tracheostoma device holder for holding a tracheostoma device superimposed of a tracheostoma of a person is provided. The tracheostoma device holder comprises a rigid plate for attachment over a tracheostoma via a proximal side thereof, the plate being provided with a through hole, and a tubular tracheostoma device fitting, arranged circumferentially of the through hole, the tubular tracheostoma device fitting extending distally from a distal side of the plate. The plate is manufactured in a thermoplastic material, with a melting/softening temperature allowing for molding according to the local anatomic shape of the person through direct contact between the plate and the skin of the person. A method for adaptation of such tracheostoma holding device is also provided.

Tracheostoma device holder

A voice prosthesis for mounting in a fistula between trachea and esophagus is provided. The voice prosthesis comprises a tubular body having a lumen, a valve disc and a valve seat. The valve disc and a valve seat are arranged in the lumen of the tubular body, such that the valve disc and the valve seat control the connection through the lumen by interaction between the valve disc and the valve seat. A sealing rim is arranged between the valve disc and the valve seat, such that the interaction between the valve disc and the valve seat is obtained via the rim. A method for manufacturing a voice prosthesis is also provided.

Voice prosthesis

A covering sheet for covering a skin adhesive surface of a device for holding a tracheostoma device over a tracheostoma of a patient may include a central/medial element for covering the central/medial part of the skin adhesive surface of the device. The covering sheet may include first and second elements arranged laterally of the central/medial element. Lateral peripheral borders of the central/medial element may be positioned adjacent medial peripheral borders of the first and second elements. The peripheral borders may be defined by division lines.

A tracheostoma valve for attachment to a tracheostoma valve plaster may include a tubular base portion with a proximal opening through which inhaled and exhaled air enters and exits, respectively. A distal lid portion may be arranged distally of the tubular base portion. The distal lid portion may have a distal opening through which inhaled and exhaled air enters and exits, respectively. The tracheostoma valve may have a valve flap member for closing the distal opening via interaction between a front side of the valve flap member and an edge of the distal opening. A valve retaining arm may be included for interaction with the valve flap member to prevent the valve flap member from interacting with the distal opening.

Automatic speaking valve

A device for holding a tracheostoma device over a tracheostoma of a patient including a passage having a distal and a proximal opening for receiving the tracheostoma device at the distal opening thereof. A flange may extend laterally, caudially, and cranially from the passage. The flange may have a proximal side facing the tracheostoma of the patient and a distal side facing outwardly from the patient. At least a part of said proximal side may include skin adhesive. The flange may have a higher moment of resistance in the caudal/cranial direction than in the lateral/medial direction for said device by having a higher moment of resistance in the caudal/cranial direction than in the lateral/medial direction for at least a part of said flange.

Tracheostoma plaster

The present invention concerns a plaster for attaching a trachestoma valve or the like in connection with a tracheostoma on a person's neck. The plaster comprises a socket and an annular flange, communicating with a central opening of the flange which is connected with a single-coated adhesive tape which extends radially beyond the edge of the flange. The connection includes a first annular joint at or inwardly of the outer periphery of the flange, and a second annular joint located between the outer periphery of the flange and the inner periphery of the flange spaced radially from the first annular joint. A protecting liner covers the adhesive on the tape.

Plaster for tracheostoma valves

A breathing protector for a tracheostoma is provided. The breathing protector comprises an inlet and an outlet, such that an air flow in use will pass from the surroundings of the user through said inlet to said outlet, into trachea of said user. Further, it comprises a filter housing, said filter housing comprising an inner housing part, an outer housing part, and a filter body. The inner housing part, comprising the outlet, a tracheal tube fitting and a support structure extends longitudinally and distally from the tracheal tube fitting. A base plate is arranged in a proximal zone of the tracheal tube fitting, said base plate extending radially outwards from the tracheal tube fitting. The outer housing par, comprising the inlet, forms a cage enclosing the support structure. The filter body is arranged between the support structure and the outer housing part. An assembly tool and an assembly method thereof are also provided.

Breathing protector

A breathing protector may include an inlet and an outlet, wherein an air flow may be configured to pass from the inlet to the outlet into a trachea. A filter housing may include an inner housing part, an outer housing part, and a filter body. The inner housing party may include the outlet, a tracheal tube fitting and a support structure extending longitudinally and distally from the tracheal tube fitting. A base plate may be arranged in a proximal zone of the tracheal tube fitting and extend radially outwards from the tracheal tube fitting. The outer housing part may include the inlet and form a cage enclosing the support structure. The filter body may be arranged between the support structure and the outer housing part.

Tracheostomy filter

A plaster for attaching a trachestoma valve in connection with a traceostoma on a person's neck. The plaster comprises a socket and an annular flange, communicating with a central opening of the flange which is connected with a single-coated adhesive tape, which extends radially beyond the edge of the flange. The connection includes a first annular joint at or inwardly of the outer periphery of the flange, and a second annular joint located between the outer periphery of the flange and the inner periphery of the flange spaced radially from the first annular joint. A protecting liner covers the adhesive on the tape.

A device () for supporting and retaining medical appliances (), such as tracheal cannulas and stoma stents, in the neck of a patient comprising supporting means () for supporting and retaining the medical appliance () and fastening means () for fastening the device on the body () of a patient. The fastening means () is provided at a distance from the supporting means and comprises means for attaching the device to the chest () of the patient. A method for supporting and retaining medical appliances (), such as tracheal cannulas and stoma stents, in the neck of a patient, by fastening the appliance () on the body () of a patient outside the neck.

Method and device for supporting and retaining medical appliances

A breathing protector may include a filter housing having a central axis, a distal end, a proximal end, a first opening and a second opening. The second opening may be located in a proximal end of the filter housing and the first opening may be located distally of the second opening, such that the first opening is located upstream of the second opening. An exchanging filter may be disposed in the filter housing and a valve seat may extend around the first opening. A rail, located circumferentially of the valve seat, may extend axially and distally away from the first opening. The rail may include a distal end and at least one rib. A valve member may be arranged in a transversal plane to the central axis and engage the valve seat in a closed position. A return spring may press the valve member into the open position.
