A motor vehicle includes a frame chassis including two longitudinal beams and at least first and second cross members between the two longitudinal beams, and a battery box arranged at the rear end of the vehicle between the beams with vibration damping mounts, wherein the mounts of the battery box comprise a front mount connecting the front side of the battery box to the first adjacent cross member and a rear mount connecting the rear side opposing the front side of the battery box to the second adjacent cross member. By suspending the battery box from the cross members of the chassis frame, the mounting brackets do not collide with other components that must be accommodated in or mounted on the longitudinal chassis beams. Moreover, the battery support system according to the invention provides an advantage in terms of space.

Motor vehicle with a rear end mounted battery box

A fastening element is provided for connecting mechanical parts to one another. The fastening element includes integrated, cutting machining grooves which are designed to work the edges of the hole, during fixing of the fastening element, by the removal of material in the parts to be mutually connected, so that the hole is made to fit against the shell surface of the fastening element. A fastening element can be provided which, in a cheap and simple manner, is designed to absorb both occurring shearing loads and compression/traction loads between the connected parts.

Fastening element

A liquid tank is provided for a heavy vehicle, suitable for fastening to a vehicle frame by at least one supporting bracket having shaped surfaces arranged for load bearing and locating contact against the liquid tank. The tank includes two end face portions and a shell portion with a non-symmetrical cross-section extending there between. The tank includes a first, shaped portion facing the vehicle frame, arranged for load bearing contact against a first shaped surface of the supporting bracket, a second, shaped portion extending partially below the frame, arranged to locate the tank relative to a second shaped surface of the supporting bracket, and a third, substantially rectangular portion facing away from the vehicle frame, and that the tank is fastened to the bracket by at least one clamping means. A bracket for supporting such a tank is also disclosed.

Device for use with liquid container for a vehicle and method for mounting said liquid container

Arrangement for providing a steerable suspension to a vehicle wheel that includes a first bearing () and a second bearing () arranged at a supporting unit () in order to form a geometrical pivot axis () around which the vehicle wheel is journalled in bearings steerable in relation to the supporting unit. The supporting unit exhibits at least one supporting surface () and the first bearing exhibits an inner ring with an external. Radially directed surface () is arranged for abutting and resting against the supporting surface () in order to take up forces directed radially in relation to the geometrical pivot axis ().

Device for steerable suspension of a vehicle wheel

An individual wheel suspension for vehicles built on a longitudinal frame and comprises a steering knuckle attachment, which at its lower, outer end is connected to and journalled in a wheel spindle. Also included is a pair of upper and lower torsion rod placed in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and journalled in the steering knuckle attachment and a transverse section of the frame, to form a parallelogram. A transverse stabilizer bar is connected to the ends of one pair of the above corresponding torsion rod, which ends are facing away from the steering knuckle attachment and positioned on either side of the vehicle. The arrangement is also provided with a first shock absorber, placed between the lower end of the steering spindle attachment and the vehicle frame, as well as an adjustable suspension device, which connects the lower end of the steering spindle attachment and the vehicle frame. The steering spindle attachment is also pivotally attached to the vehicle frame at its upper end, via an upper supporting arm, and at its lower end, via a lower supporting arm.

Individual wheel suspension

Steering knuckle

Disc brake arrangement including a bracket adapted to be fixed to a vehicle and a brake caliper support securely mounted thereon. The bracket is made with semi-circular seats and the caliper support with cylindrical pins which are arranged so that the caliper support is held in place on the bracket by the force of gravity when the pins are received in their seats. The screw holes for the mounting screws in the caliper support coincide with corresponding screw holes in the bracket.

Disc brake arrangement

Wheel suspension for a non-driven steerable vehicle wheel, comprising a kingpin (,) fixed in a front axle member (,), and having upper and lower bearings (,) by means of which a wheel spindle (,) is pivotable relative to the member. Wheel suspension for a non-driven steerable vehicle wheel, comprising a kingpin (,) fixed in a front wheel beam (,), said kingpin having upper and lower bearings (,), by means of which a wheel spindle (,) is pivotally mounted relative to the beam. The upper bearing is a roller taper bearing and the lower bearing is a journal bearing (,) consisting of an outer sleeve of an elastically deformable plastic material and an inner bearing bushing of a bearing metal.
