The invention relates to a drain trench body having base plates (), between which columns () are arranged vertically. The drain trench body comprises side walls () which are connected to the base plates (). The side walls () and the base plates () have first and second locking elements () which are in engagement with each other. The locking elements () are movable relative to one another in the height direction along the longitudinal axis of the columns (). The invention further relates to a center plate () for a drain trench body.

Slotted channels with coverings () are known for discharging surface water into a channel. Trench drains are hollow or grid-like bodies which can be installed in the ground and are intended to receive precipitated surface water and slowly dissipate it into the ground or to store the water. These hollow or grid-like bodies are constructed from individual drainage bodies which must be firmly connected together. Drainage body connecting elements are proposed for connecting drainage bodies, which comprise two pegs which are connected via a web and can each be inserted in a receiving orifice of a drainage body so the two drainage bodies can be connected together via the web.

Rails for drainage channels or manholes are known on which a cover of a channel or of a manhole can be placed. The rail has a horizontal bearing surface () extending in a longitudinal direction of the drainage channel or of the manhole and, substantially perpendicular to this bearing face, a rail edge () on the inner surface () of which the cover can be placed and on the outer surface () of which a surface covering can be applied. To increase the strength, it is proposed that the bearing surface () and/or the inner surface () and/or the outer surface () is/are provided with beads () over the entire length of the rail ().

A stable and variable design of a drainage structure includes a drainage body () and a cover (). The cover () has engagement devices (') when seen in a longitudinal direction of the drainage body (), whereby the cover connects upper edges (&#x2032;) of the drainage body () to one another transversely to the longitudinal direction in a tension-resistant manner over the entire length of the drainage body. In order to allow the use of different covers () for different loads, for example while using the same drainage body (), two types of engagement devices (&#x2032;) are provided on the drainage body.

The invention concerns a cover element for covering an opening in an in particular horizontal surface of a drainage body, with an edge region which is configured to support the cover element on the drainage body, and with a cover region which has a grid-like or perforated structure with supporting elements. It is distinguished in that the supporting elements have a thickness increasing in the vertical direction starting from the edge region in the direction of the regions remote from the edge, such that the cover element has a substantially plano-convex outer contour.
