An x-ray source device includes an anode for generating x-rays via an electron beam striking a focal point of the anode, the anode being rotatable about an axis of rotation via an electric motor including a stator and a rotor, the stator including a first coil end, relatively nearer to the anode and a second coil end, relatively further from the anode. A laminated core of the stator is arranged between the first and second coil ends. The first coil end includes a first intersection area, relatively further from the focal point and a second intersection area, relatively nearer to the focal point, with respect to the focal plane. A maximal external radius of the second intersection area is relatively smaller than a maximal external radius of the laminated core in the focal plane.

X-ray source device comprising an anode for generating x-rays

A high-voltage supply for an x-ray emitter, in particular to provide a cathode current and a cathode voltage, has at least two electrical conductors, which are incorporated in a common insulating body. Each electrical conductor is assigned a connector element, which is configured for electrically conducting contact with a corresponding connector of the x-ray emitter. Such a high-voltage supply for supplying the cathode voltage and the cathode current is provided in an x-ray emitter. The high-voltage supply extends at least in part over an inner region of a radiation protection housing of the x-ray emitter.

An X-ray tube includes a vacuum-filled housing and an anode contained in the vacuum-filled housing. The anode is operable to produce an X-ray beam based on electrons emitted from a cathode and attracted by a high voltage applied to the anode. The X-ray tube also includes a high-voltage power line introduced from an external side of the housing for supplying the anode with a high-voltage potential. The X-ray tube includes an electrical feed for electrically insulating the high-voltage power line from the housing. The electrical feed in the X-ray tube includes at least two insulating layers radially between the high-voltage power line and the housing. The at least two insulating layers are separated from one another by a metallic coating.

X-ray tube

A single-pole x-ray emitter includes an emitter housing, in which an x-ray tube with a vacuum housing and a drive motor are arranged. A cathode that generates an electron beam, and a rotating anode that is struck by the electron beam along a focal path are arranged in the vacuum housing. The vacuum housing includes a drive-side housing wall and an anode-side housing wall, and the rotating anode is held in a torsionally rigid manner on an anode tube that is rotatably mounted on a stationary part of a rotor shaft that is coupled to the drive motor. The stationary part of the rotor shaft is joined to the anode-side housing wall of the vacuum housing via a ring-shaped fixing. The anode tube incorporates a temperature compensation element. The focal path is arranged on a side of the rotating anode that faces away from the anode-side housing wall.

Single-pole x-ray emitter

A multi-source computed tomography system has a first x-ray source and a second x-ray source that are respectively optimized for different imaging procedures and can be used simultaneously in the multi-source CT system. The first x-ray source can be optimized for higher power short-term operation and the second x-ray source can be optimized for lower power, longer term operation.
