Systems and methods for an electric transmission system are herein provided. The electric transmission system, in one example, comprises an electric motor driving an input shaft, a first wet clutch position on a first end of a countershaft, and a second wet clutch positioned on a second end of the input shaft. The first wet clutch selectively engages the countershaft with a first clutch gear and the second wet clutch selectively engages the input shaft with second clutch gear. The input shaft meshes with the second clutch gear and the countershaft meshes with the first clutch gear. The electric transmission system further comprises an output shaft rotationally coupled to the countershaft.

Methods and systems of a two speed countershaft transmission

Methods and systems for providing power to a mechanical system of an electric vehicle are described. The methods and systems may be applied to vehicles that include hydraulically operated systems and that are propelled via an electric machine. The methods and systems may allow a single electric machine to propel a vehicle and drive an external load when the vehicle is not being propelled.

Systems and methods for a power take-off (PTO) assembly. The PTO assembly, in one example, couples to a shaft and is driven by rotation of the shaft. The PTO assembly includes a disconnect clutch that selectively couples a bi-directional pump to the shaft. The disconnect clutch is passively actuated based on hydraulic system pressure to disengage the disconnect clutch when a prime mover is in operation and engage the disconnect clutch when the prime mover is shut down.

Systems and methods for an electric drive unit are provided. A transmission system in an electric drive unit includes first, second, and third input shafts rotationally coupled to first, second, and third electric machines, respectively, wherein the first and third electric machines are arranged on a first side of the transmission and the second electric machine is arranged on a second opposing side of the transmission. The transmission system further includes an idler shaft that connects the first, second, and third electric machines and couples to a sun gear of a planetary gear set. The planetary gear set is arranged between a first and second clutch wherein the first clutch couples to a carrier and the second clutch couples to a ring gear. An output shaft is spaced away from the planetary gear set via gear and includes two flanges to couple the transmission to outputs.
