A listening support device, such as in particular a hearing aid, includes a part () worn in the ear, wherein the part worn in the ear includes an electro-acoustic converter () and optionally also includes a microphone (). The part worn in the ear includes a device housing () which is inserted releasably in a compressible case () which at least partially encircles the device housing laterally. The compressible case () is provided with at least one continuous channel () which provides for an open communication between a proximal side directed toward an outlet of the auditory canal and an opposite, distal side thereof.

An electro-acoustic micro-converter can be applied in an audio device, and in particular in a hearing aid. The micro-converter is at least substantially block-shaped and includes an at least substantially rectangular acoustic membrane tensioned therein transversely of a longitudinal direction. A coil element is carried by the membrane and extends in a magnetic field maintained by magnet elements, including a permanently magnetic magnet body, in a coil gap around the magnet body.

Micro converter, audio device and hearing aid

A microphone comprises a housing defining an inner volume and including a first exterior surface with an aperture leading to the inner volume. The microphone includes a transducing assembly within the housing for converting sound into an electrical signal. A sound inlet plate defines, typically in combination with the first exterior surface, a passageway for transmitting sound to the aperture The passageway receives the sound from an opening in the sound inlet plate. The opening is offset from the location at which the aperture is positioned on the exterior surface. The sound inlet plate is made very thin so that it does not extend substantially away from the housing.
