An indicator device comprising a first carrier material; a first pigment disposed in the first carrier material, the first pigment capable of being degraded by exposure to UV radiation; and wherein the first carrier material is configured so as to have a varying thickness such that upon exposure to UV radiation, a visible change in the pigment will occur which will result in a varying visible change over a first surface of the first carrier material.

The disclosure relates to safety eyewear disposed in a safety helmet and including a transparent panel for positioning in front of the eyes of the wearer. At each side of the panel, arms are provided which, at their ends are pivotally connected, on the one hand to the panel and, on the other hand, to the helmet. The arms also each have an interjacent joint at a point between their respective ends. The disclosure also relates to a safety helmet provided with safety eyewear in accordance with the foregoing.

The disclosure relates to a method of producing a hood for a hearing protector by injection moulding of plastic material. The hood is injection moulded to a single contiguous piece employing at least two plastic materials possessing different properties in at least one respect. The plastic materials may be both homogeneous and in porous or foamed form. A hood for a hearing protector is produced from plastic by injection moulding. The hood includes at least two portions or layers which are united to one another. The portions or layers consist of plastic materials with different properties in at least one respect.

Method of producing a hood, and a hood produced according to the method

A safety visor is produced by etching of metal and a grid that defines a large number of light-permeating holes. The safety visor has at least two zones where the holes are of different areas and/or configuration. An upper central zone has greater light transmission than the remaining zones of the safety visor. The C&mdash;C spacing for the hole is constant in both the vertical and lateral directions regardless of in which region of the safety visor the holes are located. In one preferred embodiment, the holes are hexagonal with two approximately parallel sides that are longer than the remaining sides and are directed in the vertical direction of the safety visor.
