An adsorbent for organic compounds including filler granules, which contain 20 to 99.9 wt. % of fillers and a binder. The adsorbent is produced by mixing at least one binder with at least one filler and performing granulation in a mixing or granulation apparatus. The adsorbent may be used for adsorbing and/or absorbing organic and/or inorganic substances from a liquid or gaseous phase.

A beaded black containing at least one pelletizing additive and at least one synthetic oil. The beaded black can be produced in a pelletizing machine and used as a filler and/or pigment in rubber and plastic articles and as a pigment for the production of printing inks.

A process for continuous dry granulation of powdered carbon black. Granulation is performed with the assistance of a granulator. As a result, for comparable sized equipment, the carbon black throughput can be increased several times as compared with pelletizing drums used in the conventional manner.

Process for continuous dry granulation of powered carbon black

Carbon black pellets which can be produced by the addition of wax during dry granulation of carbon black powder. The carbon black pellets are distinguished by a pellet hardness of at least 0.15 N with a wax content of less than 10 wt. %, based on the total weight of the carbon black pellets.
