A teatcup and a teatcup liner are described. The teatcup liner () is adapted to be mounted in a shell () to form a teatcup () to be applied to a teat of an animal. The teatcup liner () defines a length axis () and an inner space () for receiving the teat, and includes a barrel () and an upper head () for receiving the teat, wherein the barrel () has an end portion () on which a primary engagement member () is arranged. The teatcup liner () includes a hindering member () arranged on the side of the primary engagement member () being distant from the upper head (), hindering the primary engagement member () to bend away from the upper head, wherein the hindering member () has a smaller extension from the length axis () perpendicular to the length axis () compared with the primary engagement member.

Teatcup

A teatcup liner adapted to be mounted in a shell to form a teatcup to be applied to a teat of an animal, and a method of mounting a teatcup liner. The liner defines an inner space for receiving the teat and a longitudinal center axis. The liner has a head portion, a tubular barrel portion and, a tubular lower portion defining a milk channel having a cross-section area perpendicular to the center axis. The tubular lower portion has a primary engagement member to be engaged by a secondary engagement member of the shell. The liner includes a grip member extending from the tubular lower portion to be gripped by an operator when the liner is to be mounted. The grip member defines a force application zone on which a pulling force is to be applied and which seen along the center axis is located within the cross-section area.

Teatcup liner

A milking device includes at least a teat-receiving flexible sleeve, adapted to be positioned on/over a teat. A first portion thereof includes a material, selected from the group consisting of thermo-plastic elastomers (TPE), as defined in ISO 18064, and a second portion thereof includes a material selected from the group consisting of thermoplastics. The method of making a milking device, in particular a teat cup liner, is a molding process carried out in two or more steps. In the first step, a thermoplastic, preferably polypropylene (PP) or polyamide (PA), is injected in a mold defining only those portions of the device that are to exhibit a higher stiffness or rigidity, such as couplings. The stiffer parts, are demolded from the mold, and placed in a second mold, into which, as a second molding step, a suitable TPE is injected. Further steps can be performed if required by the design.

Milking devices

This invention refers to a teatcup liner and a teatcup. The liner () is mounted in a shell () of the teatcup and defines an inner space () for receiving a teat. The liner includes a primary component () forming a barrel. The primary component includes a peripheral portion (), a primary connecting ring () and a lip () defining an opening (). The secondary component includes a secondary peripheral portion () and a secondary connecting ring (). The primary component is connectable to the secondary component for releasing the liner by a mutual engagement of the connecting rings. At least one of the connecting rings abuts the peripheral portion of the other component to form a sealing abutment between the two components.

The grip area has a non-circular shape. The liner includes a connection portion () arranged to connect the liner to the first end and including an annular recess. The connection portion includes a bridge of material () arranged to define at the most two possible rotary positions for the liner in relation to the teatcup shell. The bridge extends in the annular recess and is arranged to engage a corresponding recess () extending from the first end of the shell.

The invention refers to a teatcup liner, a teatcup and a milking member. The teatcup liner is mountable in a teatcup shell, having a first end and a second end, such that in the mounted state it extends through the teatcup she 1 and forms an inner space for receiving a teat and an outer space between the teatcup shell and the teatcup liner. The teatcup liner also includes a grip area which has a non-circular shape in cross-section and is arranged to be gripped by a grip portion of the teatcup shell such that the grip area is surrounded by and abuts the grip portion. The teatcup liner has a connection portion for connection to a teatcup claw and includes structure for defining a rotary position for the teatcup liner in relation to the teatcup claw.
