A method (and device) of removing material residues, from cores to make possible reuse of them in the same manner as new and unused cores a number of times wherein cores with material residues in the form of a number of material turns are processed using a mechanism for lifting and tearing the material residues for subsequent simple removal thereof, the mechanism for lifting and tearing of the material residues is displaced along the core and the mechanism for lifting and tearing of the material residues is displaced from a position in on the core out towards and past the ends of the core.

Method and device for restoring of cores

The present invention concerns a method for removal of material residues, particularly tissue or similar porous, non-self-supporting materials, from a material-carrying core, which often has relatively large dimensions, e.g. a diameter of approx. 300 mm and a length of approx. 2540 mm, and thereby allow re-use of the core in the same way as new and unused cores a number of times for winding non-self-supporting or porous material, particularly tissue, wherein a cut section is made in the envelope surface of the roll having the material-carrying core from one end or end portion of the roll to the other end or end portion of the roll by means of a driven rotary knife, which is connected to a motor for rotation of the same.

Method for removal of material residues from rolls with a material carrying core

A device for processing cores with a view to restoring same for reuse as good as new and unused cores a number of times for handling and carrying of different types of material webs, includes a number of processing units being arranged to act on the core for removal of material residues and possible other residues in the form of adhesive. The processing surface of the processing units is adapted and/or arranged to adapt itself to the surface of the core on at least the processing thereof under the exercise of a compression pressure between the core and the processing units.

Device for processing of cores

An apparatus for emptying a reel on which a web of material is wound in layers. A frame supports the reel. A carriage is mounted on the frame for reciprocal movement longitudinally in a first direction and in a second direction opposite the first direction over the reel. A knife is mounted on the carriage for movement with the carriage to cut sheets of material from the web as the carriage moves over the reel. A plough removes cut sheets of the material from the reel as the carriage moves over the reel.
