The invention relates to a method for determining a driving characteristic of an analogized or analog-controlled hydraulic valve of a brake system for motor vehicles, comprising hydraulically operatable wheel brakes, in which a brake pressure (pDBE), which is generated with the aid of an electrically controllable, electric-motor-driven () driven pressure supply device (), is conducted to a wheel brake (-) via an inlet valve (-) and can be conducted in particular via an outlet valve (-) from the wheel brake into a pressure medium container (). In order to operate the brake system, the pressure supply device and the inlet valves, and in particular the outlet valves, can be controlled by an electronic control and regulating unit (), wherein for determining the control characteristic of an analogized or analog-controlled inlet or outlet valve, a brake pressure is generated by the control and regulating unit via the pressure supply device, and the brake pressure (pDBE) is determined by means of a pressure sensor () associated with the pressure supply device, and the determined brake pressure and an associated valve control variable (I, U) are stored as a calibration point of the control characteristic (f, F). A trailer device for driving stabilization of vehicle combinations is provided. In order to design a device for driving stabilization of passenger vehicle trailers in a cost-effective and simple manner, a brake system for braking the trailer by an overrun brake and for stability regulation is designed so as to have separating valves, switching valves, inlet and outlet valves and a pressure build-up pump. A stabilizing coupling is also connected by means of a second pressure medium pump to actuators which can vary the clamping force of the stabilizing coupling between the trailer and tractor vehicle if the second pressure medium pump conveys pressure medium from the storage tank into or out of the actuators.

The present invention relates to an actuator for an electro-hydraulic braking system of the 'brake-by-wire' type comprised of a hydraulic pressure generator or master brake cylinder and a travel simulator, with said master brake cylinder including at least one piston that is operable by an actuating pedal, and wherein a device for detecting a driver's deceleration wish is provided, said device cooperating with said piston and being at least partly arranged in a master brake cylinder housing. To optimize the assembly in terms of packaging, production costs, weight, and function, the present invention discloses that the device for detecting a driver's deceleration wish comprises an annular housing embracing the piston in a radial direction and accommodating signal receiving elements which cooperate with signal transmitting elements mounted on the piston surface.

Actuator for an electrohydraulic braking system

The present invention relates to an operating unit for an electrohydraulic braking system of the 'brake-by-wire' type, which is designed as a tandem master cylinder having a first and a second piston biased by each one resetting spring in opposition to the actuating direction. The first pressure chamber of the tandem master cylinder is connected to a hydraulic chamber defined by a simulator element. The simulator element also defines a simulator chamber accommodating a simulator spring and connected to a pressure fluid supply reservoir. A valve device is provided which closes or opens the hydraulic connection between the simulator chamber and the pressure fluid supply reservoir. To disclose an operating unit that permits being manufactured at low costs and allows easy bleeding, according to the present invention, the simulator element is formed of a hydraulic simulator piston and the valve device is provided by a seal arranged at the second piston and by the mouth area of a channel designed in the range of movement of the seal, the said channel forming the hydraulic connection.

The present invention provides a single sensor, preferably of a capacitance type, that detects various conditions of a brake booster and the braking system. In one embodiment, the sensor is integrally formed with a reaction disc in the brake booster. Another embodiment includes forming the sensor within the poppet valve of the brake booster.

The present invention relates to a space-saving and weight-saving motor-and-pump assembly which comprises a drive motor and a pump unit driven by the shaft of the said motor. In order to supply in parallel as many media as possible with an assembly of this type, the present invention suggests the additional integration of at least one second pump unit, driven by the motor shaft of the drive motor, into the motor-and-pump assembly.
