The present invention provides a receiver assembly. The receiver assembly comprises a receiver housing comprising a first housing part and a second housing part. The receiver housing defines an inner space, and the first housing part and the second housing part are movable relative to each other to define an open configuration and a closed configuration. The receiver assembly further comprises an armature extending in a first direction in the inner space, and a diaphragm operationally attached to the armature via a drive pin extending in a second direction, where the first and second directions are different. The drive pin and the armature are formed in one part. A circumferential edge part of the diaphragm is arranged in a joint between the first housing part and the second housing part in the closed configuration.

The present invention relates to a receiver assembly comprising a membrane structure comprising a frame portion and a moveable diaphragm, an assembly housing, and an acoustical venting opening connecting an interior volume of the receiver assembly to an exterior volume outside assembly housing, the acoustical venting opening forming an acoustical passage at least through the membrane structure.

The present invention provides a receiver comprising a housing, an armature, and a magnet assembly, where the armature and the magnet assembly are arranged in the housing. The magnet assembly comprises a magnet and a magnet shell. The magnet shell forms an inner space in which the magnet is provided, and where at least a part of the armature extends in the inner space. The magnet shell comprises at least two shell parts forming an inner surface encircling the inner space, where each of the shell parts comprises a first and a second end face. The first end face of a first shell part abuts one of the first and second end faces of an adjacent shell part, and the second end face of the first shell part abuts one of the first and second ends faces of an adjacent shell part.

A hearing aid comprises a housing with a sound channel in a longitudinal direction and terminating in a sound opening, a transducer for transducing sound at the sound opening, and an insert member having an insert part for insertion into the sound channel and a support part arranged against the housing. The insert member forms a sound path from a first sound opening to a second sound opening. The first sound opening is arranged in the insert part and the second sound opening is arranged in the support part outside the sound channel. The insert part comprises a retention member for retaining wax. The retention member includes an opening and is arranged so that a part hereof extends transverse to the longitudinal direction. The support part forms a protruding engagement member which facilitates catching of the insert member without engaging the sound path during removal of the insert member.

The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a receiver-in-canal assembly. The method comprises the steps of providing a receiver housing configured to be positioned in or at the ear canal of a user, and further being configured to comprise a receiver configured to output sound; providing a connector housing configured to be connected to a behind-the-ear part of a hearing aid; and providing an elongated tube configured for transfer of a signal from the connector housing to the receiver housing. In a further step the receiver housing and the connector housing are attached to opposite ends of the elongated tube. Subsequently, the tube is permanently deformed after attachment of the receiver housing and the connector housing to the tube by exposing it to heat in a first predetermined treatment period.

Method of manufacturing assemblies for hearing aids

A microphone includes a separate end cover with a sound port. A diaphragm is directly attached to the end cover. The backplate is positioned within the housing against a ridge near an end of the housing. A spacer is positioned against the backplate. The diaphragm engages the spacer when the end cover, with its attached diaphragm, is installed in the housing. The backplate of the microphone has an integral connecting wire that is made of the same material as the backplate. The integral connecting wire may have an inherent spring force to provide a pressure contact with the accompanying electrical components. The integral connecting wire electrically couples the backplate to the electronic components within the housing and transmits the raw audio signal corresponding to movement of the diaphragm. The housing may have first and second ridges on which the printed circuit board and the electret assembly are mounted, respectively.

The present invention is a receiver that includes electronics for converting an input audio signal to an output acoustic signal. The receiver has a housing for containing at least a portion of the electronics. The housing includes a port for broadcasting the output acoustic signal. A suspension system is coupled to the housing for dampening vibrations of the housing. In one preferred embodiment, the suspension system includes three resilient contact structures for contacting a surrounding structure in which the receiver is placed. The contact structures are positioned at specific locations to provide variable dampening levels. In another embodiment, the dampening is provided by a low-viscosity, gel-like material positioned between the housing and the surrounding structure.
