There is provided a computer implemented method comprising: displaying, via a display of an augmented reality, AR, device, a view of image data obtained by a camera of the AR device; tracking a position of a target object within the displayed view; determining a visibility of the tracked target object and/or a virtual object to be superimposed on the tracked target object on the display, wherein the position of the virtual object is dependent on the position of the target object; and generating a trigger signal depending on the visibility.

Augmented photo capture

A system and method are disclosed to display advertisements in an augmented window implemented within a capsule traversing an evacuated tube transportation (ETT) structure, where advertisement(s) are displayed within different perspectives rendered in an augmented window. Additional perspectives are continuously computed for rendering in the augmented window each time a passenger moves to a different location within the capsule, where such additional perspectives are derived from pre-recorded video data in real-time and displayed in the display along with the advertisement.

Augmented windows to display advertisements

The windowless prototypes of various evacuated tube transportation (ETT) based transportation systems, such as Hyperloop-based transportation systems, has the negative feel of an enclosed space. The lack of any kind of outside reference, the unknown sounds and the tremendous speed of the capsule/pod would surely cause anxiety with several passengers. A representation of the outside world shown within the pod/capsule using augmented windows alleviates this claustrophobic environment. At least for the closest passenger to the window, the illusion of looking out on a landscape is achieved using such augmented windows.
