An automotive toy () constructed from a number of toy building elements, of which a plurality are configured as functionality modules (), each of which being configured with technical means for performing a specific functionality in the automotive toy (). In the automotive toy at least one flexible toy building element () is provided that is located between two functionality modules (), whereby this flexible toy building element () is caused to form a flexible interconnection between the functionality modules ().

A toy building set comprising a number of transmission elements in the form of a plurality of shafts and a plurality of toothed wheels, and a number of supporting elements for embedding of said transmission elements; and wherein the shafts have shaft extremities that are provided with splines in the form of a number of grooves spaced equally apart for mounting of one or more toothed wheels; and said toothed wheels having a central opening for receiving the spline of the shaft; and wherein the central opening on the toothed wheels is configured with one or more protruding flanges that engage with one or more of the grooves on the spline of the shaft with a view to ensuring that a toothed wheel mounted on a shaft is unable to rotate relative to the shaft; and wherein the toothed wheels are provided with a number of teeth that corresponds to or is equal to an entire multiple of the number of grooves on the spline of the shaft which makes it very easy to correctly mount the toothed wheels on the associated shafts.

A toy gear box has two driven shafts which are rotationally tied to each other, and selectable gear wheel transmissions for transmitting rotational energy from driven shafts to a driving shaft, and claw clutches for selection of gear wheel transmission. Each of the driven shafts has a driving ring with guide grooves in positions opposite each other so that a gear lever can directly engage the guide grooves to axially displace the driving rings to engage claw clutches for selection of gear wheel transmission. The clutch parts of the claw clutch have claws which have a considerably smaller width than the gaps between the claws in the coupling region.
