The present invention relates to a piston washer () for use in a drug delivery device for transferring a distally directed axial force from a piston rod () towards a piston () of a held cartridge (). The piston washer () defines a proximal surface portion () adapted for engagement with the distal portion of a piston rod () and a distal surface portion () configured to engage and abut a piston (). An axial distance defining device () is positioned between the proximal surface portion () and the distal surface portion (), wherein the axial distance defining device () is configured to be shifted from a first axial compressible state into a second axial non-compressible state. The invention further relates to a drug delivery device incorporating such piston washer ().

A regular metallic, cylindrical tubular needle cannula () is subjected to a metal etching liquid () in the inside lumen () thereby increasing the inside diameter and enhancing the flow properties while maintaining the outside appearance. The inside diameter is only increased over a controlled length () of the full length of the needle cannula () leaving sufficient length and wall thickness to also taper the outside diameter.

A medical device is provided comprising a transcutaneous device unit and a reservoir unit. The present invention provides an assembly comprising a skin-mountable device with a mounting surface, the device being arranged in a packaging releasably attached to the device and having an opening through which the device can be moved when detached from the packaging. The device and the packaging comprises cooperating attachment structure, whereby the attachment structure allows the packaging to be moved in parallel with a skin surface for a predetermined distance when a force in parallel with the skin is applied to the packaging in the first direction, yet prevents movement of the packaging away from the general plane. The attachment structure between the packaging and the skin-mountable device, allows the packaging to be used as a handling tool to place the device on a skin surface, the attachment structure preventing that the device inadvertently falls out during handling, yet allows for easy and safe removal.

The present invention relates to an indicating device for use with medical injection devices for administering a drug into the body of a subject user wherein the indicating device is configured for indicating after administration that a dose of the drug actually has been administered and for maintaining this indication until lapse of a pre-defined time interval. The time delay indicator disclosed is based on a mechanical time delay device and includes a visual indicator that is controlled by the mechanical time delay device for signalling the status of the device during lapse of the pre-defined time interval.

The invention provides a pump assembly comprising an actuator lever, a supporting structure, a pump comprising a pump member moveable by actuation of the actuator lever, and an actuator for moving the actuator lever. A first stationary pivoting joint is formed between the actuator lever and the supporting structure, and a second floating pivoting joint is formed between the actuator lever and the pump member allowing the pump member to float relative to the actuator lever, the floating pivoting point providing a constant-length actuator arm defined between the first pivoting joint and the second pivoting joint.

A medication delivery device comprising a container containing a fluid medicament. The medicament is expelled from the container by moving forward an elastomeric piston inside the cartridge. The piston is moved forward by a telescopic piston rod, which can either be centrally located in the container or eccentric located. One end of the telescopic piston rod abuts the elastomeric piston either by itself or through an additional plate. The abutment having a friction large enough to prevent a lower part of the telescopic rod from rotating. In order to prevent the elastomeric piston from rotating inside the container a second telescopic piston rod is provided parallel with the first telescopic piston rod.
