According to an aspect of the present inventive concept there is provided a device for polarization dependent imaging, comprising a detector comprising an array of light sensitive elements; a plurality of light propagating units, each comprising: a funnel element having a collecting end and a transmitting end, the funnel element being configured to collect light at the collecting end and propagate the light to the transmitting end; a waveguide having a receiving end and a distributing end, the waveguide being configured to receive the light from the transmitting end at the receiving end and propagate the light to the distributing end, wherein the waveguide is configured to propagate the light through the waveguide in dependence of polarization such that a distribution of the light at different locations of the distributing end is dependent on polarization of the light.

Device and a method for polarization dependent imaging

Example embodiments relate to detectors for detecting electromagnetic radiation. One embodiment includes a detector for detecting electromagnetic radiation spanning a range from a first wavelength to a second wavelength. The detector includes an array of funnel elements for propagating electromagnetic radiation from a second plane towards a first plane. Each of the funnel elements includes an entrance end and an exit end. The entrance ends of the array of funnel elements define the second plane. The entrance end is larger than half of the second wavelength in a medium from which the electromagnetic radiation enters the detector. The exit end is smaller than half of the first wavelength of in the medium. The detector also includes an array of photosensitive elements for detecting electromagnetic radiation incident on the array of photosensitive elements. Each funnel element is associated with a photosensitive element. The array of photosensitive elements defines the first plane.

The disclosure relates to an imaging device for wavelength dependent imaging. The imaging device includes a detector having a plurality of light sensitive elements, a plurality of light propagating units, each including: a funnel element for collecting light at a collecting end and propagate the light to a transmitting end; a waveguide for receiving light from the transmitting end at a receiving end and propagating light to a distributing end.

Imaging device, an imaging system and a method for wavelength dependent imaging

A system and for distributing data for 3D light field projection and a method thereof. The system comprises input terminals and output terminals that are connectable to pixel elements of a display. Data paths are established between input terminals and output terminals, and are controlled by data switches. The system also comprises a control plane adapted for applying control variables to the data switches. Control switches of the control plane select the control variables which are applied to the data switches. Sequences of control variables and enable variables propagate along at least one first delay line and along at least one second delay line, respectively. Delay units of the at least one first delay line and of the at least one second delay line have a synchronous relationship. During system run-time patterns contained in the stream of input data are detected for determining the sequences of control variables.

Data distribution for holographic projection

Example embodiments relate to imaging systems and methods for acquisition of multi-spectral images. One example imaging system includes a detector that includes an array of light sensitive elements arranged in rows and columns. Each light sensitive element is configured to generate a signal dependent on an intensity of light incident onto the light sensitive element. The imaging system also includes a plurality of wavelength separating units. Each wavelength separating unit is configured to spatially separate incident light within a wavelength range into a number of wavelength bands distributed along a line. The line is a straight line. Each wavelength band along the line is associated with a mutually unique light sensitive element. Further, the imaging system includes a processing unit configured to define a number of mutually unique clusters of light sensitive elements for summing signals from the light sensitive elements within the respective clusters.

Imaging system and method for acquisition of multi-spectral images

A semiconductor detector () for electromagnetic radiation within a wavelength range is disclosed, comprising a first waveguide portion (), a funnel element () configured to funnel incident electromagnetic radiation into a first end () of the first waveguide portion, and a second waveguide portion () extending in parallel with the first waveguide portion. The second waveguide portion is coupled to the first waveguide portion and configured to out-couple electromagnetic radiation from the first waveguide portion, within a sub-range of the wavelength range. Further, a photodetector () including a photoactive layer () is arranged at a second end () of the first waveguide portion and at an end () of the second waveguide portion, and configured to separately detect electromagnetic radiation transmitted through and exiting the first waveguide portion and the second waveguide portion.

A method includes representing dots of an image to be displayed within a field by a digital image code. The field is divided into sub-fields which are further divided into a first and second time interval which respectively comprise a first and a second number of equally long time slots. Time slots are assigned to each bit of the digital image code according to each bit's significance. Successive time slots of the first time interval are assigned to one of the bits of the image code and successive time slots of the second time interval are assigned to a different one of the bits of the image code. Within the duration of at least one sub-field, each rows is selected twice for respectively writing a first bit of the image code during the first time interval and writing a second bit of the image code during the second time interval.

Coding for avoiding motion artifacts

A method for driving an active matrix display comprising a plurality of pixels, wherein each pixel comprises a drive transistor having a driver gate, is disclosed. The method comprises: receiving information of a desired image to be displayed; determining a compensated voltage for the driver gate for each pixel based on calibration data, wherein the calibration data comprises a set of individual calibration values applying to different pixels, and wherein the compensated voltage compensates for differences between pixels affecting a relation of an intensity of light output by the pixel as function of a difference between the voltage applied to the driver gate and a threshold voltage of the drive transistor; and outputting the compensated voltage for the driver gate for each of the pixels.

Active matrix display and method for driving an active matrix display

A conformable matrix display device is provided with row conductors on the conformable carrier, each for a respective row of the matrix of pixel circuits. Each row conductor has serpentine trajectories in spaces between the pixel circuits in the respective row. Power supply voltage and selection pulse signals are transmitted over the same row conductors. Each row conductor is connected to supply voltage and selection inputs of the pixel circuits in the respective row. Each pixel circuit has a pulse transmission circuit coupled between the selection input and the control input of a de-multiplexing circuit for de-multiplexing data signals on column conductors. In this way the power supply voltage and the selection signal can be supplied making shared use of space between the pixel circuits. Thus the number of conductors in the matrix display device is reduced, which enables a greater distance between the conductors and/or bends in the conductors, which makes the circuit more stretchable and/or bendable.

Conformable matrix display device

A method for digital driving of an active matrix display with a predetermined frame rate is described. The display contains a plurality of pixels organized in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns. The method includes representing each of the plurality of pixels of an image to be displayed within a frame by an n-bit digital image code. The method also includes dividing the image frame into sub-frames, which may be of substantially equal duration. Within each sub-frame, the method includes sequentially selecting at least one of the plurality of rows twice. Upon a first selection, a first digital code is written to the selected row and upon a second selection a second digital code is written to the selected row. There is a predetermined time delay between the second selection and the first selection. Digital driving circuitry is also described.

Digital driving of active matrix displays

Digital driving circuitry for driving an active matrix display comprising a plurality of pixels logically organized in a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns, each pixel comprising a light emitting element, comprises a current driver for each of the plurality of columns for driving a predetermined current through the corresponding column, the predetermined current being proportional to the number of pixels that are ON in that column. The digital driving circuitry further comprises digital select line driving circuitry for sequentially selecting the plurality of rows, and digital data line driving circuitry for writing digital image codes to the pixels in a selected row, synchronized with the digital select line driving circuitry.

Low power digital driving of active matrix displays

A Field-Programmable Gate Array device is provided with programmable interconnect points in the form of interconnect circuits comprising one or more pass transistors, wherein at least some components of the interconnect circuits are implemented in the Back-End-Of-Line part of the Field-Programmable Gate Array device's production process. The memory element in an interconnect point is not produced as a Static Random Access Memory cell, but as a Dynamic Random Access Memory cell, requiring only a single select transistor and a storage capacitor for each memory element. The fabrication of at least the select transistor and the pass transistor involves the use of a thin film semiconductor layer, e.g., Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide, enabling production of transistors with low leakage in the Back-End-Of-Line.

A method for forming an organic material layer on a substrate in an in-line deposition system is disclosed. In one aspect, the organic material is deposited with a predetermined non-constant deposition rate profile, which includes a first predetermined deposition rate range provided to deposit at least a first monolayer of the organic material layer with a first predetermined average deposition rate and a second predetermined deposition rate range provided to deposit at least a second monolayer of the organic material layer with a second predetermined average deposition rate. The injection of organic material through the openings of the injector is controlled for realizing the predetermined deposition rate profile.

Method for forming an organic material layer on a substrate

In the present invention a novel method and device for measuring characteristics from a relatively weak signal comprising desired and undesired components is presented. Undesired signals may arise from the nature of the characteristic, from the detector or from the circuitry. The signal is extracted from a first measurement element () comprising these desired and undesired components. Using another signal from this first measurement element or from another second measurement element () the undesired components can be eliminated. The measurement method is extremely useful when using organic materials for the detectors, electronic circuitry, and measurement elements. These devices can be produced relatively cheap, but less reliable. They can also be combined in a one- or two-dimensional array for measuring characteristics over a larger area.

Sensor for eliminating undesired components and measurements method using said sensor

The present disclosure relates to methods and solutions for growing metal charge-transfer salts on a metal surface, such as a metal layer at the bottom of a via hole. The method makes use of a solution comprising a salt additive. The temperature during growth is in the range of &#x2212;100&#xb0; C. to +100&#xb0; C. The method allows controlled growth of the metal charge transfer salt inside via hole while limiting growth outside the via hole. The method further limits corrosion of the metallic connections at the bottom of the via hole.
