It is provided a method for enabling determination of proximity of a mobile device () to a selected proximity determiner (). The method comprises the steps of: determining a base set of proximity determiners (-) whereby an enlarged set of proximity determiners is defined as the selected proximity determiner and the base set of proximity determiners; receiving beacon measurements of signal strength of other proximity determiners in the enlarged set of proximity determiners; generating a two-dimensional graph based on the beacon measurements; receiving respective device measurements indicating signal strength of a signal from the mobile device at each proximity determiner in the enlarged set of proximity determiners; finding an optimum in a space defined by the two-dimensional graph; and determining the most probable position of the mobile device in the graph based on the optimum.

Enabling determination of proximity based on detectable proximity determiners

It is provided a method for providing a credential set to a credential carrier for gaining access to a physical space. The method is performed in a credential provider and comprises the steps of: preloading a plurality of credential sets from a server into a local memory, each credential set being usable to gain access to a physical space and each credential set comprising a first validity time; wherein, when a network connection between the credential provider and the server is unavailable, performing the following steps: obtaining a request to provide a credential set for a physical space; retrieving a credential set from the local memory, the credential set being usable to gain access to the physical space indicated in the request; and providing, as long as the first validity time of the credential set has not expired, the retrieved credential set to a credential carrier.

Providing credential set when network connection is unavailable

Methods, systems, and devices for controlling access within a multi-facility room are provided. More specifically, a guest of the multi-room facility is allowed to remotely confirm reservations to the facility as well as bypass the front desk of the multi-room for check-in purposes. At a location within the facility, the guest is allowed to confirm their arrival, check-in, and have their access credential written with personalized access data that may be useable for the duration of the guest's stay.
