A mobile operating table column comprising a base and a stability system for ensuring that the base rests securely on an uneven surface, wherein the stability system comprises: four retractable and extendable upright support elements arranged at four different corners of the base, as well as support surfaces and an actuator for retracting and extending each of the four upright support elements. Each upright support element is associated with a support surface and can be retracted and extended relative to the latter. Moreover, the stability system may assume at least two different operating states:

A table pedestal for an operating table, comprising a pedestal base for connecting the table pedestal to the floor; a pedestal head support that is adjustable in height for supporting the head of the pedestal; a lifting drive for adjusting the height of the pedestal head support in relation to the base of the pedestal; a cylindrical main guide connecting the pedestal head support to the pedestal base, and serving to provide a vertical guide of the pedestal head support in its height adjustment. An additional stabilizing guide, which also connects the pedestal head support to the pedestal base and provides a vertical guide for the pedestal head support in its height adjustment, reduces the play in rotation of the main guide.

An accessory part for a medical device, such as an operating table or a transport board. Accessory devices may include a first plate for supporting a patient, and a second plate which can be moved relative to the first plate within a predetermined adjustment range. Devices may include a first clamping surface and a second clamping surface at a distance from the first clamping surface, wherein movement of the second plate relative to the first plate causes movement of the second clamping surface relative to the first clamping surface in a direction substantially parallel to a surface of the first or second plate, in order to increase or reduce a clamping force between the accessory part and a suitable holder on the medical device. Methods and medical devices for use with the accessory parts are also disclosed.

An accessory part to be connected to an operating table has a connecting element () and a component part of the operating table has a receiving area () for receiving at least an area of the connecting element (). An engagement element () projects laterally from the connecting element (). The receiving area () has at least one guideway () with which the engagement element () engages during insertion of at least an area of the connecting element () into the receiving area (). When deformed, an elastically deformable element () exerts a force on the engagement element (). By the force exerted on the engagement element () and by the course of the guideway () a force (F) is exerted in the direction of insertion (P) on the connecting element () when the accessory part and the operating table are connected.

Arrangement and method for connecting an accessory part to an operating table

In an operating table comprising a table column () with a column foot () and with a column head () and also a patient bed () which is connectable to the column head () and which is pivotable in relation to the table column () about at least one axis parallel to the bed plane, the column head () has provided on it a guide track () which is curved continuously about an axis of curvature and on which a saddle coupleable to the bed () is mounted such that it can be adjusted along the guide track () by means of a saddle drive.

What is shown is an upholstery element for a bed of an operating table, with a baseplate, two elongate side parts comprising dimensionally stable foam, which are arranged along two mutually opposite edges of the baseplate, and an upholstery part which consists at least partially of soft foam and fits between the elongate side parts such that it bears at least with its outsides at least partially against the respectively adjacent side part, at least one projecting portion being formed and arranged at least on one side part such that the said portion engages into an associated recess on the outside of the upholstery part when the upholstery part is arranged between the side parts.
