Various methods and systems are provided for a set of devices for an imaging system. In one example, the set of devices includes a first device configured to obtain a first set of image data and a second device configured to obtain a second set of image data along at least one dimension. The first and second sets of data may be compiled to generate a field-of-view (FOV) preview.

The present disclosure relates to locally enhancing medical images. In accordance with certain embodiments, a method includes determining a boundary of a region of interest in a displayed medical image, overlaying the boundary on the displayed medical image, adjusting a position of a collimator of a medical imaging system based on the determined boundary, enhancing image quality of the region of interest, and displaying the enhanced region of interest within the boundary.

Various systems are provided for damping vibration in a mobile radiographic imaging system. In one embodiment, a vibration damping assembly for a C-arm imaging system comprises a pivot element rotatably coupled to a toe portion of the C-arm imaging system and configured to form an interface between the toe portion, a damping element, and a ground surface on which the C-arm imaging system sits.

Systems for vibration damping in a mobile radiographic imaging system

Systems and methods for rotating X-ray devices are disclosed. The systems and methods use X-ray devices with an X-ray imaging arm orbitally rotating about pivot joints that are physically attached to the X-ray imaging arm. The pivot joint coincides with the center of gravity for the X-ray imaging arm. The X-ray device has an X-ray imaging arm with an X-ray source and detector respectively disposed at nearly opposing locations of the imaging arm. The pivot joint can serve as an axis of orbital rotation around which the imaging arm pivots. The pivot joint can be pivotally attached to a first end of an X-ray imaging arm fork, which has a second end attached to an X-ray imaging arm support structure. The imaging arm fork can include a lateral pivot joint that provides a lateral axis of rotation for the imaging arm. The fork can contain one or two arms.

Pivoting X-ray imaging devices

Systems and methods for making and using sliding counterbalanced C-arm positioning devices are described. In such systems and methods, each C-arm positioning device includes a C-arm X-ray device, a linear bearing rail, a linear bearing block, and a counterbalance mechanism. Generally, the C-arm is connected to the linear bearing block, which, in turn, is slidably coupled to the bearing rail to allow the bearing block and C-arm to slide up and down on the rail. The counterbalance mechanism can apply a force to the bearing block to counterbalance the weight of the C-arm and the bearing block. Thus, the described C-arm positioning device can allow a user to easily raise or lower the C-arm with relatively little effort. While some implementations of the C-arm positioning device are connected to mobile support structure, other implementations of the C-arm positioning device are mounted to a fixed support structure. Other implementations are also described.

Sliding counterbalanced C-arm positioning devices and methods for using such devices

Systems and methods for using a brake system to selectively lock and release the vertical motion of a C-arm X-ray device that is part of a sliding counterbalanced C-arm positioning device are described. In such systems and methods, the C-arm positioning device typically includes a C-arm X-ray device, a linear bearing rail assembly, a linear bearing block, a counterbalance mechanism, and brake system. Generally, the C-arm is connected to the linear bearing block, which is slidably coupled to the bearing rail assembly to allow the bearing block and C-arm to slide up and down on the rail assembly. The counterbalance mechanism applies a force to the bearing block to substantially counterbalance the weight of the components, such as the C-arm, that are suspended from the bearing block. The brake system can be actuated to engage the linear bearing rail assembly and lock the vertical movement of the linear bearing block. Other embodiments are described.

Brake systems for C-arm positioning devices, apparatus containing the same and methods for using such systems

A retention system for restraining and releasing a movable monitor including a monitor, a latch bail, and a latching assembly with one of the latch bail and the latching assembly being connected to the monitor. The latching assembly includes a latch base, a latch, and a tensioning device. The latch base has at least one ear and the latch has at least one arm. The latch is pivotally connected to the latch base such that the latch is rotatable between closed and open positions. The tensioning device engages the latch and the latch base such that the tensioning device pulls the latch toward either of the open or closed positions. The latching assembly receives the latch bail such that the latch bail is retained between the ear and the arm when the latch is in the closed position.

Retention mechanism for mobile monitors

Amusement rides and methods are described. The amusement rides of the present invention include roller coaster vehicles that have a controlled spin or controlled rotation in a direction or dimension independent from the track of the roller coaster. The controlled rotation or spin is provided by using displacement of the track configuration to power a proportional rotation of the vehicle.
