A depth charge fuze includes a piston in a cylinder sealingly and displaceably guided to actuate a firing mechanism against atmospheric pressure within the cylinder on one side of the piston. The piston is operatively connected to a balancing device for balancing in axial direction. At the other side of the piston there is provided a pressure chamber connected to the surroundings by means of a number of throttling passages with valves depending on the surrounding water pressure for closing up the passages on different levels of water pressure. A shearing means retains the piston in a rest position up to a predetermined maximum pressure drop over the piston.

Depth charge fuze

A releasing device for disconnecting a buoyant body from an anchor a predetermined period after having been sunk into water. In order to accomplish a reliable device, which may be stored for very long periods of time, a piston is movable in a cylinder under the influence of a spring and a water pressure differential. The piston controls the disconnection of the buoyant body and the anchor, as the cylinder is connected to one part and the piston will release an element connected to the other part in a disconnecting position under the influence of the spring.

Releasing device

A mine anchor for anchoring a buoyant mine and provided with a rotatable drum for a mine anchoring wire. In order to obtain a reliable and accurate anchoring at a preset depth there is a contact manometer at the mine and a signal line for transmitting a signal therefrom to an exploding device on the mine locking the drum against further rotation.
