The present disclosure is directed to a truck including a cargo box coupled to a first rail and a second rail with a first cross member and a second cross member. The first and second rail are coupled to, and extend transverse to, the first and second cross members. A bed floor of the cargo box is physically separated from the rails by the cross members.

A structural assembly for a pickup truck sidewall includes, among other things, a C-pillar, a belt rail extending rearward from the C-pillar, and a truss spanning from the belt rail to the C-pillar. A method of structurally supporting a sidewall of a pickup truck includes the steps of securing a first end portion of a truss to a belt rail that extends rearward from a C-pillar of the pickup truck, and securing an opposite, second end portion of the truss to a C-pillar.

A reinforcement assembly for a rear rail of a vehicle is disclosed that includes inner and outer bulwark brackets. The brackets include radially extending walls that are welded to inner and outer walls and a bottom wall of the rear rail. A barrel nut is assembled between the bulwark brackets and retained by the bulwark brackets at an intermediate location between the side walls of the rear rail.
