In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods provided herein are useful for dispensing a fluid, such as a thixotropic fluid. In some embodiments, a bottle having a closure cap includes a flip top, a base, and a disk, where the base and disk define a mixing chamber configured to facilitate mixing of any serum or liquid separated from the fluid back therein. In some configurations, the base has a central opening through which the fluid exits and an internal shaft with a non-planar end surface opposite the central opening. In some configurations, the non-planar end surface and the disk define channels between the mixing chamber and the internal shaft. In some embodiments, the disk includes a central opening, a plurality of partial annular openings through a planar surface of the disk, and projections extending into the mixing chamber.

Container, closure, and methods for manufacture

A tamper-evident closure is provided and includes a base and a lid. The lid is movable between a closed and an open position with respect to the base. The closure includes a tamper-evident member which is initially provided on or by the base with the closure in an unopened condition. The tamper-evident member is released from the base when the lid is initially moved to the open position and is then retained by the lid.

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods are provided herein useful to contain and dispense a fluid, such as a thixotropic fluid. In some embodiments, a bottle having a closure cap includes a control device, a base, and a disk, where the base and disk define a mixing chamber configured to facilitate mixing of any serum or liquid separated from the fluid back therein. In some embodiments, a dispensing bottle includes a non-removable closure cap with a tamper evident feature that indicates whether the cap was previously opened. By one approach, the dispensing bottle includes discontinuous threads on a bottle neck and ratchet projections on a closure cap that engage the discontinuous thread(s) to prevent or inhibit manual removal of the cap from the bottle.

A flip-top dispensing closure is provided and comprises a base which is attachable to a container and a lid attached to the base by a hinge. The base includes a dispensing passage; a syringe of the type comprising a barrel and a terminal tip is insertable into the passage. The closure further comprises a flexible self-closing valve for closing the passage. In use the syringe is inserted into the passage so that the tip passes through the valve to access product, and thereafter when the syringe is withdrawn the valve wipes against the syringe tip.

Flip-top dispensing closure

A closure for a container comprises tamper-evident means for indicating if the closure has been removed from the container. The tamper-evident means is provided within the interior of the closure.

A pierceable, induction sealable seal for a container opening, the seal comprising a plurality of layers at least one of which is metallic and at least one of which is non-metallic, at least one of the non-metallic layers is complete and in use extends across a container opening to seal it. The area over which the at least one of the metallic layers extends is restricted to the region of the periphery of the seal whereby to facilitate induction sealing to the opening but to remain isolated from product in a container upon piercing of the seal.

Closure for packaging

A child-resistant closure includes a body with a base and a lid, the closure having a locked position in which the lid is held in a closed position and an unlocked position in which the lid is released and can be moved to an open position. The sidewall has one or more pressing pads for moving the closure to the unlocked position. The or each pad is supported on the sidewall by force insulating links which restrict lateral spreading of forces into the sidewall during inward deflection of the pad(s).

Child-resistant closure

A child-resistant closure () is provided and comprises a base () and a lid (). The base has an inner skirt () and an outer skirt (). The closure has locking means () tor releasably locking the lid in a closed position. The outer skirt has one or more pressing zones () which can be pressed to release the locking means. The inner skirt has one or more cut-outs () in register with the or each pressing zone whereby to allow greater deflection thereof.
