A container cover for use with a container having a neck. The cover includes a lid, a skirt extending downward from the circumference of the lid, and a concentric plug seal extending from the lid inside the skirt. The cover also includes an annular recessed channel circumscribing the center of the lid, with the channel including at least one hole in a side wall of the channel, the hole allowing air to pass through the lid. The skirt preferably includes six lock panels. The sides of the lock panels are defined by vertical slots in the skirt, and each lock panel features at least one inwardly-projecting lock. When the cover is locked on the container, the locks engage a lip on the container neck. When a user wishes to remove the cover, the user pulls up on the edge of a lock panel, disengaging the locks from the container lip and removing the cover.

A vented closure is provided for a container having a raised lip proximal to an upper end thereof. The closure includes a top preferably having two locking levers connected to the top with an elastically deformable hinge. The locking levers operate to releasably secure the closure to the container. The top includes a first portion and a second portion. The closure also includes a skirt. The first portion is centrally positioned in the top and the second portion is connected to the skirt. One or more vent holes are provided in the first portion. The first portion defines a first plane and the second portion defines a second plane. The first plane is displaced from the second plane.

The present invention is a top for a dispensing container. The top includes a base, a nozzle portion extending from a first end of the base, and a tab integrally formed with the nozzle portion at a neck down portion. The nozzle portion has an outer wall defining an internal conduit for passage of a liquid, powder and/or gel. The tab includes a tip end sealing the internal conduit and at least one shock absorbing portion. When the tab is twisted, the tip end is removed from the nozzle portion at the neck down portion, thereby opening the internal conduit. The shock absorbing portion can include a slot, an area with reduced thickness, a flex area, or a combination thereof. The top can be included on a container for storing liquids, powders and/or gels.

A container closure includes a base with a valve mount portion formed from a first thermoplastic material and a valve formed from a second thermoplastic material. The valve is bonded to the valve mount portion. A lid is hingeably attached to the base and includes a sealing rim extending from a surface of the lid and designed to engage the valve at the location where the valve seals to the valve mount portion. The engagement of the sealing rim with the valve forming a seal between the two components.

A container closure includes an adapter formed from a first thermoplastic material and a valve formed from a second thermoplastic material. The adapter and valve are bonded together in a multi-material molding process to form an adapter and valve assembly. The adapter and valve assembly is directly fastened to a base to form the closure.

A closure for a container for holding contents therein generally comprises a surface for gripping the closure in order to twist it in either direction to open it. The closure has downwardly projecting teeth on its underside; the container has upwardly projecting teeth, which mate with the downwardly projecting teeth of the closure. An outer ring on the closure circumscribes and holds in place the upper lip of the container in the closed position. Twisting of the closure in either direction causes the closure to be released from the container.

A secure lock for container packaging with a flexible retaining lip of various formations for sealing against material product flow distributions with the secure seal preventing tampering of, for example, a flexible walled container of material such as a medication, food stuff or art material. A resistant secure lock is provided which in one embodiment meets Federal Child Safety Standards providing a seal of flexible locking and unlocking which is resistant to a child's tampering. In one embodiment, a tamper resistant seal is formed for a squeezable container cap with a flexible hinging structure connecting a cap to a cap receptor base structure of a container to prevent a material product such as medicine from dispensing without disengaging the seal selectively to allow access to an aperture, yet with a directed flexion of a lip or head, the seal simply unsnaps from a tamper resistant state to release the flow of product through an aperture from a container.
