A device includes an enclosure and logic. The enclosure includes a plurality of capacitive touch sensor arrays disposed at least on two of a top side, a bottom side, a left side, a right side, a front side, and a back side of the device. The enclosure also includes a first display on the front side of the device. The logic receives touch interaction information from the plurality of capacitive touch sensor arrays and initiates an action based at least in part on the touch interaction information.

A mechanism is described for employing and facilitating placing a sensor cover over an external sensor of a computing device. A method of embodiments of the invention includes sensing, at a sensor of a computing device, user touches to an outer surface of an impregnated sensor cover placed over the sensor, wherein the sensor cover includes a plurality of holes through the outer surface and a plurality of conductive leads corresponding to the plurality of holes, and wherein sensing is performed through one or more of the plurality of holes and their one or more corresponding conductive leads; and facilitating an action in response to each of the sensed user touches.

Mobile device rejection of unintentional sensor contact. An embodiment of a mobile device includes a first touch sensor to detect contact by a user of the mobile device for input of gestures by the user, a memory to store indicators of unintentional contact to the first touch sensor, and a processor to evaluate contact to the first touch sensor. The processor compares a contact with the first touch sensor to the indicators of unintentional contact to determine if the contact is unintentional, and the mobile device rejects the contact as an input to the mobile device if the contact is determined to be unintentional and accepts the contact as an input to the mobile device if the contact is determined to be intentional.

Detection of gesture data segmentation in mobile devices. An embodiment of a mobile device includes an edge, the edge including at least a first side, and a first touch sensor of one or more touch sensors, the first touch sensor being a side touch sensor to detect contact with the first side of the mobile device. The mobile device further includes one or more motion detection elements to generate motion data representing motion of the mobile device through space over a period of time, a buffer for the storage of the motion data, and a gesture recognition module to interpret the motion data stored in the buffer, wherein the mobile device begins the storage of the motion data in the buffer upon detection of a start of gesture data event, the start of gesture data event including contact with the first touch sensor.

Embodiments of computing systems, and related methods, are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a computing system may include a peripheral device (e.g., an image capture device and/or an audio output device) and control logic. The control logic may be coupled with a sensor system and the peripheral device to receive a trigger signal; receive, from the sensor system, one or more interaction signals indicative of a user interaction with the computing system; and, in response to receipt of the trigger signal and the one or more interaction signals, generate a control signal for output to the peripheral device to control operation of the peripheral device.
