An electrical receptacle contains a plug outlet that has a pair of contacts for electrical connection to respective hot and neutral power lines. A controlled switch, such as a TRIAC, is connected in series relationship between the outlet contact and the hot power line. Sensors in the receptacle outputs signals to a processor having an output coupled to the control terminal of the controlled switch. The processor outputs an activation signal or a deactivation signal to the controlled switch in response to received sensor signals that are indicative of conditions relative to the first and second contacts.

Electrical receptacle fault protection

A method of biasing a drywall corner flusher and a drywall corner flusher biased in accordance with the method. The method involves moulding a 'V' shaped corner flusher body from a resilient material. The corner flusher body having a pair of blades each having a common edge and a remote edge, with the pair of blades being connected along the common edge. The corner flusher body is moulded with an integrally moulded undulating rib extending from the remote edge of one blade of the pair of blades to the remote edge of another blade of the pair of blades biasing the remote edge of each of the pair of blades outwardly.

Method of biasing a drywall corner flusher and a drywall corner flusher

An assembly includes a bracket mountable directly to a wall. An inner periphery of the bracket defines an opening in the wall substrate. A resilient element, cantilevered from an outer side surface of the sleeve, is retained by a barbed element at the inner periphery of the bracket.

Bracket and sleeve assembly

A plug housing includes an ejector mechanism and a controller electrically coupled to the ejector mechanism for detaching electrical conductive blades of the plug from a mated connection with a female connector. In response to a switch signal from the controller, a solenoid is activated to release a latch in the mechanism, thereby permitting the force of a compressed spring to impel a structure outwardly from the plug. The controller may be located remotely from the plug and superimpose control signals to the plug over the power lines within the cord.

Electrical cord plug eject mechanism

A ceiling support system includes a bracket mechanism that can be attached to ceiling joists. An upwardly extending flange arrangement provides support for a ceiling fixture while allowing adjustment of its position before being secured to the support system. The flange arrangement may be flexible and secured to the ceiling structure via resilient hangers.

Ceiling support system and apparatus

An assembly includes a bracket mountable directly to a wall. An inner periphery of the bracket defines an opening in the wall substrate. A removable sleeve is engageable with the bracket and the wall substrate to secure tight contact between the wall substrate and a device interior of the wall, irrespective of the thickness of the wall substrate. A resilient element, cantilevered from an outer side surface of the sleeve, is retained by a barbed element at the inner periphery of the bracket.

An assembly includes a box and a removable sleeve that is engageble with the box and with a wall substrate to secure tight contact between the wall substrate and the box structure, irrespective of the thickness of the wall substrate. The sleeve is configured to be coupled to an electrical device having a corresponding configuration for insertion in the box.

Electrical box and sleeve assembly

A self-supporting apparatus can be placed in an opening in an existing wall substrate. A frame assembly is configured with a perimeter that can be adjusted to correspond to the opening of the wall substrate. Opposing frame portions are movable in opposite directions with respect to each other to be expandable for contact with the opening. Each frame portion comprises a first side having a detent on one surface and a second side with at least one groove on a surface thereof. The surfaces of the opposing frame portions face each other. The detents and grooves are dimensioned to provide engagement, respectively, between grooves and dents of facing frame portion surfaces.

Wall mounting apparatus and frame assembly

A device for trimming a climbing skin to fit a snow travel aid such as a ski or snowboard is provided as well as a kit comprising such a device and at least one strip of climbing skin material. Also provided is a method of using the device. The device comprises: (a) a guide comprising a first surface for contact with a side of the snow travel aid and a second surface for contact with the snow travel aid base; and (b) a cutter connected to the guide opposite to the second surface, the cutter being offset from the first surface.

Electric device mounting bracket

A self-supporting apparatus can be placed in a pre-set opening in an existing wall substrate. A frame assembly is configured with a perimeter that corresponds to the thickness of the wall substrate. The edge of the frame thus can be in fitting contact with the substrate opening. Flanges on opposite sides of the frame extend in the planar direction of the wall substrate to be in contact with the inner and outer surfaces of the substrate to maintain the frame in position in the wall and to strengthen the structure. The frame can include appropriate mounting portions for mounting electrical boxes or low voltage devices within the wall.
