An electronic device including a continuity sensor and electrical circuitry configured to detect and report the continuity state of an article, container or product packaging is disclosed. The continuity sensor includes a first substrate with first and second coils thereon, and a second substrate with a third coil thereon. The first coil has an integrated circuit electrically connected thereto. The first substrate is part of, or is attached or secured to a part of the article, container or packaging. The second substrate is another part of, or is attached or secured to another part of the article, container or packaging. One of the article, container or packaging parts is (re)movable with respect to the other part. The first and second coils have one coupling when the article, container or packaging is closed or sealed, and a different coupling when the article, container or packaging is open or unsealed.

An assembly having: a container configured to contain a product, the container having an end having a dispensing end surface, a central axis which extends through the end, and a neck underneath the end, the neck having an outer surface which tapers outwardly away from the central axis as it extends in a direction towards the end; an accessory non-removably mounted on the end of the container, the accessory having a surface bearing against the dispensing end surface of the container, and a sleeve disposed about the neck so that an inner surface of the sleeve is in facing relation with the neck outer surface, and; an annular collar wedged between the sleeve inner surface and the neck outer surface and joined to the sleeve inner surface by a permanent joint.

Device housing for an aerosol container

A fluid dispensing device for dispensing a fluid form medicament formulation having a viscosity of from 10 to 2000 mPa&#xb7;s, is disclosed having a housing and a fluid discharge device. The fluid discharge device is arranged to be actuated by one or more levers, so as to apply a force to the fluid discharge device which is used to move a container forming part of the fluid discharge device, along a longitudinal axis of the fluid discharge device to cause actuation of a pump forming. A pre-load mechanism prevents actuation of the pump until a pre-determined force is applied to each lever of sufficient magnitude to guarantee the production of a well-developed, efficient spray from the fluid dispensing device.

A nozzle, for use in a fluid dispensing device, having a body defining a fluid flow channel which is shaped to impart acceleration and angular momentum to fluid passing therethrough, an inlet port formed in the body and defining an inlet to the channel, and an outlet port formed in the body and defining an outlet from the channel, wherein the fluid flow channel includes a swirl chamber having a plurality of swirl chamber segments, the swirl chamber being located between the channel inlet and the channel outlet, wherein the body is comprised of a mating assembly of a plurality of like component parts, each of the component parts providing one of the swirl chamber segments; wherein the fluid flow channel includes a plurality of inlets to the swirl chamber for feeding fluid into the swirl chamber and wherein each of the component parts provides one of the swirl chamber inlets; wherein the swirl chamber inlets are positioned to feed fluid into respectively different swirl chamber segments and wherein the swirl chamber segments are fed from one of the swirl chamber inlets provided by another of the component parts; and wherein each swirl chamber inlet is connected to the channel inlet by separate branches of the fluid flow channel.

A fluid dispensing device is disclosed having a housing and a fluid discharge device. The fluid discharge device is arranged to be actuated by one or more levers so as to apply a force transversely to the fluid discharge device which is used to move a container forming part of the fluid discharge device along a longitudinal axis of the fluid discharge device to cause actuation of a pump forming part of the fluid discharge device. A pre-load means is used to prevent actuation of the pump until a pre-determined force is applied to each lever of sufficient magnitude to guarantee the production of a well developed efficient spray from the fluid dispensing device.

There is provided a dispenser suitable for dispensing medicament, particularly medicament for use in the treatment of respiratory disorders. The dispenser comprises a housing having a support; a container, locatable within said housing, having an outlet, wherein said container dispenses through said outlet in response to movement of the container relative to the housing; and an actuation indicator having an indexing mechanism actuatable by movement of the container relative to the housing. A couple mechanism is provided which couples the indexing mechanism to the container to compensate for any variation in pre-actuation positionings of the indexing mechanism and container.

A fluid dispensing device for dispensing a fluid product having a dispensing outlet from which the fluid product is dispensable, a supply of the fluid product, a dispensing member mounted for movement in a dispensing direction along an axis X-X from a first position to a second position which causes a dose of the fluid product in the supply to be dispensed from the dispensing outlet, and a finger-operable actuator member mounted for movement in an actuating direction which is generally transverse to the axis.

A fluid dispensing device for dispensing a fluid product having a dispensing member mounted for movement along an axis X-X from a first position to a second position which causes a dose of a fluid product to be dispensed, and a finger-operable actuator member movable in an actuating direction generally transverse to the axis to cause at least one cam surface thereof to cam the dispensing member from the first position to the second position. The at least one cam surface has a commitment section, oriented at a first angle to the axis selected such that a minimum actuating force is required to be applied to the actuator member to cause the at least one cam follower surface to ride over the commitment section onto the drive section. The commitment section of the cam surface is arcuate.

A fluid dispensing device is disclosed having a body housing a pump action fluid discharge device having a dispensing nozzle. The fluid dispensing device comprises a body defining a cavity and a dispensing nozzle having a dispensing orifice, a fluid discharging device housed in the cavity, the fluid discharging device having a hollow casing defining a reservoir for containing a volume of fluid and a plunger slidingly engaged within the hollow casing, the plunger having a tubular portion which extends from a first end of the hollow casing for co-operation with the dispensing nozzle to enable pumped delivery of fluid from the reservoir to the dispensing nozzle, wherein the dispensing orifice of the dispensing nozzle is provided with a reversible stopper.

Actuation indicator for a dispensing device

A medicament dispenser for use in the storage, presentation and/or dispensing of medicament comprising a body shaped for receipt of a medicament container. In association with the body, there is a first transceiver for transmitting and receiving data. A medicament container is receivable by the body. In association with the medicament container, there is a second transceiver for transmitting and receiving data. Data is transferable in two-way fashion from the first transceiver to the second transceiver. The medicament dispenser may be supplied in kit of parts form.

An actuation indicator that includes a drum sub-assembly, which includes a rotatable actuation indicator wheel, a rocking, ratchet pawl for rotating the indicator wheel in a set direction and a rocking mechanism for the pawl driven by a slipping clutch arrangement, is described. The slipping clutch arrangement includes a slipping clutch spring engaged at one end to a pinion of a rack and pinion assembly and at a second end to the ratchet pawl.
