Systems, tools and methods for 3D animation provided including: creating stereoscopic effect in 3D animation in a shot; determining maximum parallax in 3D animation; representation of stereo effect on a non-stereoscopic monitor in 3D animation; producing a digital contact sheet created for viewing in 3D animation; correcting for holes created by missing pixel information from a left camera perspective in 3D animation; real-time compositing of multiple stereo camera views in 3D animation; and emulation of multi-cam rig in 3D animation.

Methods, systems and tools for 3D animation

A system includes a computer apparatus, a means for display, and a means for storage. The computer apparatus is configured to perform a method of 3D animation. The method includes setting a first inter-axial distance between logical representations of a first set of two cameras, the first inter-axial distance being configured to produce a desired 3D effect for a target audience, setting a second inter-axial distance between logical representations of a second set of two cameras, the second inter-axial distance being based on the first inter-axial distance, setting a multi-rig spacing between the first and second sets of two cameras, the multi-rig spacing begin a value determined to reduce depth distortion effects in the 3D animation, and creating a stereoscopic frame set representing the 3D animation using the logical representations of the first and second sets of two cameras.

Methods and systems for 3D animation

A dispenser for an elongate material is provided having a support and a spool rotatably mounted in the support. The spool includes a core and two ends extending radially outward from the core. At least one ring on the support encircles a respective end of the spool. In one embodiment, the radial outside of each ring is provided with a formation tapering towards the middle of the spool.

A reel or spool for winding or unwinding of cable, wire, or the like includes a hub having a cylindrical wall defining an outer barrel surface and an axial end wall suitable for the application of labels or other identification indicia. A flange extends radially from the outer barrel adjacent each end wall. The flanges have a plurality of integrally formed, radially extending ribs disposed on their outer surface. The connection between the ribs, the axial end wall and the barrel surface of the hub being within the radial extent of the cylindrical wall. In one form of the invention, the hub includes an inclined wall connecting the cylindrical wall, the axial end wall and the ribs.

An automotive wheel lift is adapted to carry a motorcycle by wheel pads removably mounted on the wheel lift crossbar. Each wheel pad includes an inverted crossbar channel for placement over the crossbar, an upright wheel channel parallel with the crossbar channel, and a lock bar for removable placement under the crossbar to alternatively lock the wheel pad to the crossbar or to release it from the crossbar. Tie down straps from the ends of the lock bars help secure a motorcycle in standing position.

Automative vehicle lift mechanism adapted for two-wheeled vehicles

A device for retrieving fishing equipment, such as a hook, which is snagged includes a monolithic body having a forward end portion and a rear end portion which are in the shape of tangent ogives. A central bore is defined through the body for accommodating a fishing line on which the device will ride, and a slot intersects the bore to permit that fishing line to move into the bore. Slotted lock rings are positioned in grooves to lock the device to the fishing line. The lock rings are sloped so that a smooth, uninterrupted curve is formed from the forwardmost end of the device to the rearmost end of the device even when the lock rings are in place in the grooves so that no discontinuities are formed which may tend to cause drag on the device as it moves through the water toward the snagged equipment.
