Systems and methods are described for a push-button switch assembly with the ability to diagnose faults. The push-button switch assembly comprises a first circuit comprising a first resistor arranged in series with a first switch, and a second resistor arranged in parallel with the first resistor and the first switch, and a second circuit comprising a third resistor arranged in series with a second switch, and a fourth resistor arranged in parallel with the third resistor and the second switch, wherein the first switch and the second switch are each closable by displacement of a push-button of the push-button switch assembly.

Extended park mode

System and method are disclosed for vehicle accessory power management. An example vehicle includes an engine configured to operate in a start-stop mode, and a power management system. The power management system is configured to receive an input requesting use of a vehicle accessory in an accessory mode, and responsive to the input, reduce an electrical load, disable the start-stop mode, and enable use of the accessory mode.

Vehicle accessory power management

An access assessment tool is described for providing a technical solution for selectively controlling access to restricted information and/or implementation of restricted functionalities based on a current vehicle mode and/or validated credentials. The access assessment tool described herein controls the validation of a user or diagnostic tool requesting access to restricted information or implementation of a restricted function before allowing access to the restricted information or allowing implementation of the restricted function.

Customer driving mode for vehicles

A body controller may monitor a vehicle bus for diagnostic requests received from a scan device connected to a diagnostic port when a vehicle perimeter alarm of a body controller is armed. The body controller may reset a predetermined lockout timeout responsive to receipt of a session request from the scan device. Upon expiration of the lockout timeout, the body controller may request to establish the session with the body controller from the scan device for a predetermined access timeout. When the session is established, the body controller may allow a user to program entry devices to the body controller and/or download software updates to the body controller.

Diagnostic port protection to body control module

A vehicle may include a body controller programmed to limit operation of at least one vehicle feature to reduce battery consumption during transit of the vehicle in response to a vehicle flag indicating a transport status, and to enable operation of the at least one vehicle feature during manufacturing in response to the vehicle flag indicating a factory status.

Key off energy management system

A vehicle includes a gateway controller configured to interface a diagnostic port to a vehicle communication network. In response to a perimeter alarm system being in an armed state, transfer of messages from the diagnostic port to the vehicle communication network is inhibited. A change session diagnostic request received from the diagnostic port is transferred to the vehicle communication network in response to vehicle speed being less than a threshold and an ignition switch begin in a run position. The transfer of the change session diagnostic request is otherwise inhibited unless intended for a module designated for reprogramming keys.

Vehicle network communication protection

An exemplary locking assembly includes, among other things, a lock that transitions between a first state that prevents disengaging electric vehicle supply equipment from a charge port and a second state that permits the disengaging. A control module is configured to command the lock to transition from the first to the second state in response to a user interaction with a selector device and an authentication of the user interaction. An exemplary securing method includes, among other things, receiving a request to disengage electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) from a charge port of a vehicle, permitting a disengaging if the request can be authenticated, and preventing the disengaging if the request cannot be authenticated.

Locking assembly and method with authenticated unlocking of electric vehicle supply equipment

A vehicle system with a processing device programmed to determine an ignition state and determine a vehicle speed and then send a control signal to enable power for at least one vehicle subsystem if the ignition state is off and the vehicle speed is above a predetermined threshold.

Vehicle safety power management

A vehicle system includes a processing device programmed to determine an ignition state and a vehicle speed. The processing device powers at least one vehicle subsystem if the ignition state is off and the vehicle speed is above a predetermined threshold. The processing device may disable the vehicle subsystem when the vehicle speed falls below the predetermined threshold.

An electronic control unit may include input channels configured to receive signals indicative of a power to a steering system and signals indicative of an operating mode of the vehicle, and output channels configured to provide a command to redistribute current from an electrical load to the steering system. The electronic control unit may further include control logic configured to, in response to the power falling below a threshold value and the operating mode being of a pre-defined type, generate the command to increase the power to the steering system to meet the threshold value.

Vehicle with power management

The wheel locations for wireless tire pressure monitoring sensors are automatically learned by comparing the timing of sensor message transmissions to directly measured wheel rotation, such as from an anti-lock brake system. In order to synchronize the data to be detected and compared across a distributed electronic system, first timestamps are applied to RF sensor messages upon reception in a receiver. Second timestamps are applied to decoded sensor data in the receiver when transmission of the data and the first timestamps to a control module begins. The control module applies third timestamps upon reception by the control module. The control module calculates sensor message times by subtracting a difference of the first and second timestamps from the third timestamp.
