The systems, methods, apparatuses, and articles disclosed herein provide a new approach to treatment symptoms, such as proprioceptive dysfunction and vestibular disorders, which may be caused by certain types of human ailments. According to the present disclosure, a wearable article may include one or more limb sections and a resilient member may be provided along a length of each of the one or more limb sections and configured to generate a resistance force. Adjustments to the resistance force provided by the resilient member(s) may be adjusted using cord locks. As a user wearing the wearable article moves, the resistance force is applied to the user's limbs. Strain gauges may be provided to measure the resistance force(s), which enables verification that the resilient members are sized and configured to provide an appropriate amount of resistance force to a user and may improve programs and regimens designed to treat such ailments.

Systems and methods of treating proprioceptive dysfunction and vestibular disorders

The present disclosure provides a children's first aid kit suitable for treating minor scrapes and cuts. The compact kit is integral with a reusable cooling mechanism designed to provide a cooling sensation to the injured area. The kit is further integral with a supply of antiseptic medicine and bandages, and can be easily carried and made available in any situation. An optional applicator to dye the skin surrounding the wound to create a temporary design can be supplied.

Children's first aid kit for cuts and scrapes

A pitcher for keeping beverages cooled for protracted periods, having a pitcher lining and a pitcher wall sealingly attached to form a cavity there between. A freezable substance is disposed within the cavity. The cavity extends continuously between the bottom walls of the pitcher lining and the pitcher wall allowing for complete cooling through the floor area of the pitcher. In an alternate embodiment an insulating layer is provided between the freezable substance and the inner surface of the sidewalls and bottom wall of the pitcher shell. The insulating layer further retards warming and reduces condensation.

A dry powder delivery system and method for use, the system having an elongated tube containing a matrix having a measured amount of dry particles of a therapeutic compound and a porous element having a desiccant therein. The porous element with the desiccant can be combined with the powder-containing matrix or it can be two separate elements. The pressure drop induced by inhalation of the user causes air to flow through the tube and into contact with the particles of dry powder for discharging the particles for inhalation by the user.

Dry powder delivery system

A method for delivering dry powder particles through the mouth of a user, in which a suction is created through an opening in a proximal end of an elongated housing for drawing air into a flow path in the housing from an opening in a distal end of the housing, the distal end including an opening in the housing with a ridge surrounding the housing, and through a resistance member in the housing for introducing a controlled pressure drop in the housing and a resistance to the drawing of air into the mouth of the user. A measured amount of dry powder particles having a therapeutic capability, is introduced into the housing so that the particles will travel downstream from the resistance member at a relatively low velocity in a non-agglomerated state, the dry powder particles being sized and coordinated with the controlled pressure drop so that the particles can be drawn into the mouth of the user and inhaled, with the resistance being sufficiently great that the particles are drawn into the mouth of the user to simulate the action of puffing on a cigarette so that at least some of the particles are deposited in the oral cavity and upper respiratory tract of the user after being drawn into the mouth.
