A polydiorganosiloxane having both a silicon bonded aliphatically unsaturated group and a silicon bonded poly(meth)acrylate polymer or copolymer, and method for preparation of this polydiorganosiloxane are disclosed. The method preserves the aliphatically unsaturated groups when grafting the poly(meth)acrylate to the polydiorganosiloxane. This polydiorganosiloxane is useful in hydrosilylation reaction curable compositions, such as pressure sensitive adhesive compositions.

Improved systems and methods for medicine delivery, and in particular, improved insulin pen needles and related devices are provided. Smart injection devices record and transfer data including medicine level, delivered dose, dose confirmation, and dose time and date. Additional data captured may include glucose concentration, insulin level, carbohydrates ingested, stress level, exercise, blood pressure, and glucose high and low excursion events. Various means of data collection and analysis are provided and systems can identify and flag patients who require intervention. Smart sleeves and add sensing capability to standard insulin pens. Pen needles are provided with sensing capability to confirm and measure doses delivered by insulin pen. A two-part pen cap include a primary sleeve that connects to the insulin pen and an end cap that provides for capturing the time of dose delivery, and monitoring the hold time for a dose delivery after plunger movement.

Systems and methods for medicine delivery

A media rack system is disclosed that generally includes a rack configured to receive a plurality of components that are selectively connected via a plurality of media, e.g., optical fibers or any other wired communication link. An exemplary system may further include one or more media loop retention housings, which include a spool configured to selectively support one of the media, and a media loop retainer defined by the spool. The media loop retainer includes a predetermined radius for selectively retaining a loop of the media. The predetermined radius is greater than or equal to a minimum bend radius associated with the fiber.

A device is provided for preventing accidental operation of a switch including a body having a surface with an opening and a cavity extending from the opening at an angle for receiving and releasably engaging the actuator member of a switch. With the switch in the desired on or off position, its actuator member is mounted into the cavity to engage the device, via the opening, such that the surface of the body lies adjacent the switch plate. Operation of the switch is prevented by the surface of the body providing a stop against the switch plate without physically anchoring the device to the switch plate.

This fluid sheet solar collector is devised as an assembly to produce a sealed unit which contains an internal collector fluid circulating through a closed loop to pass in a thin sheet over a solar energy absorber surface and to pass in good thermal contact through a self contained heat exchanger to effect a net solar energy derived heat transfer to external devices. The internal collector fluid flows upward in a thin sheet contained between a semi-rigid transparent cover and a solar absorber surface wherein the fluid is heated; flows downward through a heat exchanger wherein the heat is transferred; the net effect is to maintain a thermo-kinetic circulation of the fluid with neither fluid conduits nor high thermal conductivity materials required in the heating portion of the assembly.
