An improved protective jacket for insulated, angled pipe includes a metal jacket having a first portion and a second portion, each portion having a generally semi-circular cross-section, and including two or more fingers. Each of the fingers defines a fillet at a junction of the fingers and a baseline of the jacket. The fingers include a flat face at an inner angle and curve from the flat face to a superior surface of the jacket. A first finger is formed a minimum distance of about 0.5 inches from a second finger, and a width of the fingers is created by an isosceles triangle with a radius of curvature between about 0.3 inches and 0.5 inches.

A stud retainer assembly includes a housing defining a stud chamber, and at least one stud-retaining arm disposed within the stud chamber. The at least one stud-retaining arm includes a stud engagement member comprising first and second teeth configured to engage a stud. A full-round head nail having an offset head is configured with a gusset formed integrally between an undersurface of the offset head and a superior portion of a shank. The head of the nail is relatively thin, and the shank is positioned radially off center of the round head such that no heel is formed at a point tangential to both the head and the shank. The gusset has a lofted surface tapering radially from a roundness at the zero heel to a taper at the toe. The gusset reinforces the junction of the shank with the head, supports the toe of the head, and distributes the force of a load on the head through a longitudinal axis of the shank, preventing the toe from bending or yielding and prevents the shank from yielding to the stresses of the load applied.

A fastener driving tool including a power source having a reciprocating driver blade, a tool nose associated with the power source for receiving the driver blade for driving fasteners fed into the nose, a magazine constructed and arranged to house a supply of the fasteners and a magazine feeder mechanism associated with the magazine for sequentially feeding fasteners into the nose. The feeder mechanism operates between a retracted position and an advanced position. An electromechanical retention device is operationally associated with the feeder mechanism and is configured for retaining the feeder mechanism in the retracted position until the driver blade is positioned to allow fastener advancement into the nose.

A self drilling anchor for use in a friable material mounted on a member comprises an elongated body having an axis, an axial bore adapted to receive an elongated fastener, a flared end having torque transmitting surfaces therein, a proximal portion, an intermediate portion, a distal portion, and a drilling tip generally opposite the flared end, wherein the proximal portion has a threaded exterior having a root, a crest diameter, and a thread height, the intermediate portion has a threaded exterior having a root, a crest diameter substantially smaller than the crest diameter of the proximal portion, and a thread height substantially smaller than the thread height of the proximal portion, and the distal portion has a threaded exterior with a root that tapers toward the drilling tip, a crest diameter substantially smaller than the crest diameter of the proximal portion, and a thread height substantially smaller than the thread height of the proximal portion.

A hot melt adhesive or other thermoplastic material dispensing valve assembly comprises a pair of oppositely disposed electromagnetic solenoid assemblies which alternatively act upon a pair of armatures which are fixedly mounted upon a valve stem, upon which is fixedly mounted a valve member, so as to rapidly and assuredly control the reciprocal movements of the valve stem, and the valve member attached thereto, between its unseated or OPENED position and its seated or CLOSED position. A coil spring also biases the valve stem and the valve member toward the seated or CLOSED position such that when both of the electromagnetic solenoid assemblies are de-energized, the coil spring maintains the valve member at its seated or CLOSED position upon the valve seat.

An insert seal for an adapter connectable to a fuel cell which is engageable upon a combustion tool fuel metering valve, the fuel cell having a stem and the metering valve having a nipple, includes a body defining a central passageway and having a first end sealable on the stem and a second end sealable on the nipple, a flange portion affixed to the second end, being in fluid communication with the passageway and having a larger diameter than the body. The fuel cell adapter is configured for connection to the fuel cell and is engageable upon the combustion tool fuel metering valve, has an adapter body with a base configured for engagement upon the fuel cell and a nozzle connected to the base, the adapter body defining a chamber configured for accommodating the stem and the nipple, the insert seal being accommodated in the chamber.
