A system is disclosed for integrating system functions with gaming functions via a display screen of a gaming device. The system includes a gaming interface in communication with at least a first processor and a systems interface in communication with at least a second processor. The gaming interface is incorporated within the display screen of the gaming device, displays wagering game content received from the first processor, and receives first inputs delivered to the first processor to perform the gaming functions associated with the wagering game content. The systems interface is incorporated within the display screen of the gaming device, displays non-gaming system content received from a system network via the second processor, and receives second inputs delivered to the system network via the second processor to perform the system functions.

Integrated display and input system

A method is set forth for providing for the integration of gaming functions and system functions into a gaming device of the type having a video touch screen display. The method includes configuring a platform for the gaming device to have at least a first processor for real time processing of hardware tasks and game logic processes and a second processor for processing system logic and game and system information display processes. At least one first processor and second processor are arranged to control said display to display a gaming interface for viewing a wagering game for play by a player and the second processor is configured to display a systems interface into said gaming interface to display non-game system information from said system-based information signals. The systems logic processes are kept separate from said game logic processes. In various embodiments the method includes displaying a system interface when a player or employee inserts a card into a card reader. In some embodiments the gaming interface may be controlled to relinquish the display to the systems interface.

A system and method for enabling one network to use the functionality of another network is provided. The system comprises a first network system having a first network functionality and a second network system having a second network functionality. A server connected to the second network system passes directions through the first network to enable a component connected to both the first network system and the second network system to perform a second network functionality.

Separable URL gaming system

An embedded user interface is equipped with a touch screen and audio device to operate as a user interface (UI) terminal to provide a gaming machine with the capability of executing applications from one or more web servers, and local applications executing in the gaming machine, simultaneously. The user interface includes a touch controlled browser rendering information from the gaming machine and interconnected web servers, providing the user with game data, local player session data, and back-end casino management data in a single interface.

User interface system and method for a gaming machine

An embedded user interface incorporated into a gaming device, the gaming device including a gaming presentation of a base game and a gaming processor for controlling the base game. The embedded user interface includes: a player tracking interface and an embedded processor. The player tracking interface includes (or is associated with) a display screen and enables display of a system game to a user, presentation of information to the user, and reception of information from the user. The embedded processor employs an internal operating system and communicates with the gaming processor, enables control of the system game, control of player tracking information, and control of non-gaming information. Systems for managing gaming devices in a networked environment are disclosed herein. The system includes one or more gaming device, at least one data repository, host system, and a datastore. The gaming devices have a gaming processor and a plurality of gaming components, wherein one or more parameters are associated with the gaming components. The data repository is in communication with the one or more gaming components, and the data repository stores data that includes one or more parameters from each gaming component. A host system is in communication with the gaming devices, and the host system is configured to collect data from the data repository. The host system also includes a datastore in communication with the host system, wherein the datastore stores data from the gaming devices.

Gaming system for data management and collection and related methods

Systems and methods for managing a limited-time bonus period are disclosed herein. According to one method, one or more triggering events are established for the gaming machines, wherein the triggering events are winning game outcomes. A gaming period is initiated on the gaming machines, wherein each gaming machine generates a game outcome. If necessary, a system host is notified that one or more triggering events have been satisfied. The gaming machines then receive instructions from the system host to initiate a limited-time bonus period, wherein the limited-time bonus period is presented on a player tracking and interactive system gaming devices on a selected number of gaming machines. User interface system and method for creating and verifying signed content

A method is disclosed for authenticating a gaming device, wherein the gaming device includes a plurality of components, one of which is a storage device. The method includes: starting up the gaming device; authenticating a data file stored on the storage device, wherein the authenticating comprises: opening and reading a file allocation structure in a storage device using a file allocation reader; processing the file allocation structure using a processor to provide access to files stored in the storage device, wherein the files in the storage device include installed identification data from one or more selected gaming units as to components actually installed on the selected gaming units, and wherein the files also include registered identification data for components supposed to be installed on the selected gaming units, each component including hardware components and software components, and each gaming unit including multiple components with identification data; and examining the installed identification data and registered identification data to determine enablement of the gaming units.

Device verification system and method

An embedded user interface includes a display screen and an embedded processor, and is incorporated into a gaming machine that in turn includes a gaming screen and a gaming processor. The embedded processor employs an internal operating system and communicates with the gaming processor. The embedded processor reads incoming data, translates the data into a web authoring language, and maps the data to the web page display screen. The display screen presents web page information to a user via the display screen, thereby increasing user excitement by providing a richer gaming experience. This provides a dramatic improvement over traditional system components (input/output peripherals) that have been used in the past to access service and system information, such as a 2-line, 20-character VF display and a 12-digit keypad.

A gaming system having one or more reconfigurable gaming machines and reconfigurable gaming displays is disclosed herein. Each gaming machine includes three reconfigurable video screens, wherein the reconfigurable first video screen, the second reconfigurable video screen, and the third reconfigurable video screen display a first game, information associated with the first game, casino specific features, or combinations thereof. The one or more gaming machines are reconfigurable to display a second game on the three reconfigurable video screens in response to receiving a reconfiguration command and downloading the second game from a server via a network so that the first reconfigurable video screen, the second reconfigurable video screen, and the third reconfigurable video screen display the second game, information associated with the second game, casino specific features, or combinations thereof.
