A reduced plug-size charger plug for power conversion is disclosed utilizing a pair of blades that are slidably mounted into a charger housing, obviating the need for insertion molding. To promote and maintain electrical contact while minimizing package size and charger plug cost, a pair of spring contacts are provided for electrically connecting the blades with internal circuitry.

Energy-saving power adapter/charger

A cable assembly for use with any power cable for an electrical device, the cable assembly including a remotely locatable switch for connecting or disconnecting the electrical device from power draw. Also, a cable assembly for a power device such as a charger for providing output power to an electronic device is disclosed, the cable assembly including two pairs of wires wherein a first pair provides output power for the electronic device and a second pair includes a switch for turning off the charger. An embodiment of the present invention is direct to a cable assembly for use with any power cable for an electrical device. The cable assembly includes a remotely locatable switch for connecting or disconnecting the electrical device from power draw. Another embodiment of the present invention is directed to a cable assembly for a power device, such as a charger, for providing output power to an electronic device. The cable assembly includes two pairs of wires, wherein a first pair provides output power for the electronic device and a second pair includes a switch for turning off the charger. An embodiment of the present invention is directed to a power device for an electronic device, such as a charger for a portable rechargeable device and/or an AC adapter. The power device includes switching circuitry for de-powering at least a portion of the power device when the electronic device is either not drawing power or is disconnected from the power device.

Electrical charger

An interface converter module includes a metallized housing having a first end and a second end. A printed circuit board is mounted within the housing and has mounted thereon electronic circuitry configured to convert data signals from a host device transmission medium to the second transmission medium. The printed circuit board has not more than twenty contact fingers adhered at one end in order to form a host connector, a media connector is at the other end of the module. The media end having a dual LC duplex optical receptacle, where each duplex portion of the dual LC duplex optical receptacle houses a ROSA and a TOSA. The module and receiver may include interengaging rails and slots and/or keys and keyways to ensure correct matching of modules and receptacles.

Multi-port pluggable transceiver (MPPT) with multiple LC duplex optical receptacles

A device includes a housing, two members protruding from the housing, two transmitting optical subassemblies, two receiving optical subassemblies, a multiplexer, and a de-multiplexer. The housing includes two ports for receiving optical fiber connectors. Functionally, the two members act as two standard sized transceivers. The optical outputs of the transmitting optical subassemblies are introduced into the multiplexer and the output of the multiplexer is introduced into one of the two ports of the housing. The optical inputs of the receiving optical subassemblies emanate from the de-multiplexer. The optical data signal input into the de-multiplexer originates from the other port of the two ports of the housing. The two members are attached to the housing in such a way so that when the device is plugged into the receptacle of the host device, the two members can translate in three directions and rotate in three directions relative to the housing.

Pluggable optical transceiver array having wavelength division multiplexing and demultiplexing features

A robust optoelectronic transceiver module which is quick, easy, and inexpensive to manufacture. The transceiver module has a main housing which consists of a circuit board having an optical subassembly mounted thereon. The module housing may be pluggable via a retention member received within the receptacle. The module and receptacle assembly may include grounding member such as a ground clip mounted within a gap provided between the module and a connector port of the receptacle to limit electromagnetic emissions.

Removable transceiver module

An apparatus for injection molding of a fiber optic ferrule including the use of adjustable core and receiver members to precisely locate a core pin and also a projecting wire member in a mold where the core pin defines an interior passage in the molded ferrule and the projecting wire forms a small diameter longitudinal hole in the ferrule communicating with an outer end of the interior passage so that the interior passage and small diameter hole are precisely located relative to the body of the molded ferrule.
