A medication inventory system may include a medication tray that includes compartments for storing respective medications. The medication tray may include a boundary wall defining a boundary outline of the medication tray, and the medication tray may have a tray identifier associated therewith. The medication inventory system may also include a user device that includes a housing, a camera carried by the housing, a display carried by the housing, and a controller coupled to the camera and the display. The controller may generate on the display a bounding box overlay image on a live image from the camera of the medication tray, capture an image from the camera when the bounding box overlay image is aligned relative to the boundary outline of the medication tray. The controller may also generate a current medication stocking list of the medication tray based upon the captured image and the tray identifier.

A returned goods processing system may include a camera configured to acquire human pose image data of a given user while processing a returned item. The system may also include a returned goods processing server configured to store reference human pose image data of sample users while processing returned items. The stored human pose image data may be indicative of compliance with an acceptable return processing procedure. The returned good processing server may also be configured to compare the acquired human pose image data with the stored reference human pose image data to determine compliance with the acceptable return processing procedure, and generate a notification based upon the comparing. The returned goods processing server may also be configured to perform machine learning to update the stored reference human pose image data based upon the acquired human pose image data.

A medication inventory system may include a medication tray that includes partitions defining compartments and having a tray identifier associated therewith, and each compartment may store a respective medication. The system may include an imaging apparatus, and a processor and an associated memory cooperating with the imaging apparatus to determine the tray identifier of the medication tray, and maintain in the memory a desired respective medication within each compartment based upon the tray identifier. A respective medication image of the medication within each compartment may be obtained and machine learning may be used to determine a medication within each compartment based upon the respective medication image. A discrepancy may be determined between the determined medication within each compartment and the desired respective medication within each compartment, and when so, a display notification may be generated that includes a visual indicator corresponding to each compartment determined to have the discrepancy.

A medication tray may include a boundary wall defining a boundary outline. Markers may be carried by the boundary wall. A mobile device may obtain a first image of the medication tray, and determine a number of the markers from the first image. When the number equals or exceeds a threshold, an edge detection algorithm may be applied to the first image to identify the boundary outline based upon the markers, and generate a stocking list of the tray based upon the outline. When the determined number does not exceed the threshold, the device may obtain a second image of the tray, and determine an updated number of the markers from the first and second images. When the updated number equals or exceeds the threshold, the algorithm may be applied to the images to identify the outline based upon the markers, and generate the stocking list based upon the outline.

A medication inventory system may include a medication tray that includes compartments for storing respective medications. The medication tray may have a tray identifier associated therewith. The system may also include a mobile wireless communications device configured to obtain at least one image of the medication tray, and apply a Hough line detection algorithm to the at least one image to determine a boundary outline of the medication tray. The mobile wireless communications device may also be configured to generate a current medication stocking list of the medication tray based upon the boundary outline and the tray identifier from the at least one image.

A medication inventory system may include a medication tray that includes partitions defining compartments. The medication tray has a tray identifier associated therewith, and each compartment is for storing a respective medication having a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag associated therewith. The system may include an RFID tag reader, and a processor and an associated memory configured to maintain in the memory a desired respective medication within each compartment based upon the tray identifier, and cooperate with the RFID tag reader to determine the respective medication within each compartment based upon the respective RFID tag. The processor and associated memory may also be configured to determine a discrepancy between the determined medication within each compartment and the desired respective medication within each compartment, and when so generate a display notification that includes a visual indicator corresponding to each compartment determined to have the discrepancy.

A medication inventory system may include a medication tray that includes compartments for storing respective medications with each medication having a respective medication identifier associated therewith. The medication tray may have a tray identifier associated therewith. The medication inventory system may also include a mobile wireless communications device configured to obtain images of the medication tray and generate a current medication stocking list of the medication tray from the images. The medication inventory system may also be configured to determine a desired medication stocking list for the medication tray based upon the tray identifier and determine at least one missing medication based upon the current medication stocking list and the desired medication stocking list.

A pharmaceutical transport system may include a pneumatic tube network and a pharmaceutical transport container movable within the pneumatic tube network. The pharmaceutical transport container may include a tubular container having open and closed positions for receiving at least one pharmaceutical therein, and an electronic lock securing the tubular container in the closed position and opening based upon a match between an entered digital code and a current changing digital code.
