A dispensing system () includes a body () having an outer wall () defining a volume for storing a substance, the outer wall () having a top end () and a sealed bottom end (). The top end () is covered by a flexible lid () that is attached to the body (). The lid () has a press portion () for being engaged to move the lid () from a first position into a second, deflected position. A post () is connected to the lid () and is configured in the second position of the lid () to breach the sealed bottom end () forming a dispensing orifice () to accommodate movement of a substance out of the body (). In one form, the outer wall () includes at least one bottle stop projection () defining one or more vent channels ().

Dispensing system

A dispensing system (A) includes a body (A) having an outer wall (A) defining a volume for storing a substance, the outer wall (A) having a top end (A) and a sealed bottom end (A). The top end (A) is covered by a flexible lid (A) that is connected to the body (A). The lid (A) has a press portion (A) for being engaged to move the lid (A) from a first position into a second, deflected position. A post (A) is connected to the lid (A) and is configured in the second position of the lid (A) to breach the sealed bottom end (A) to form a dispensing orifice (A) to accommodate movement of a substance out of the body (A).

A closure (A,B) for use with a container includes a body (A,B) defining a passage (A,B) and a first latch portion (B). The closure (A,B) has a lid (A,B) defining a deflectable press portion (A,B) that has a connection (A,B) to the closure body (A,B). The lid (A,B) has a cover portion (A,B) including a second latch portion (A,B) for engaging the first latch portion (B) to releasably hold the cover portion (A,B) in a latched closed position in which the cover portion (A,B) at least partially occludes the passage (A,B). The lid (A,B) has a biased hinge (A,B) connecting the cover portion (A,B) with the press portion (A,B) to accommodate movement of the cover portion (A,B) between the latched closed position and an unlatched open position.

Closure for a container

A closure body () is provided for installation with a liner membrane () on a container (). The closure body () has a peripheral portion () for being mounted on the container () around an access opening (), and a separable portion () that (i) is disposed laterally inwardly of the peripheral portion (); (ii) is initially connected to the peripheral portion () by at least one frangible connection (); and (iii) can be separated from the peripheral portion () upon breaking of the at least one frangible connection (). The closure body () has an opening member () that is connected with the separable portion () to accommodate movement of the opening member () relative to the separable portion (). The opening member () has a grippable portion () and a puncture portion () each disposed in an initial inactive orientation relative to the separable portion ().

Closure for a container, closure components, and method of use thereof

A closure body () is provided for installation with a liner membrane () on a container (). The closure body () has a peripheral portion () for being mounted on the container () around an access opening (), and a separable portion () that (i) is disposed laterally inwardly of the peripheral portion (); (ii) is initially connected to the peripheral portion () by at least one frangible connection (); and (iii) can be separated from the peripheral portion () upon breaking of the at least one frangible connection ().

A closure system is provided for a container. The system has a body for extending from the container at the container opening. The body defines a dispensing orifice. A lid is provided for covering the orifice. The body has a bearing member with two spaced-apart walls for defining a channel for receiving a pivot shaft on the lid. At least one deflectable finger projects from one of the body bearing member walls for being temporarily, elastically deflected to accommodate the insertion of the lid pivot shaft into the channel. The finger is resilient, and moves back over the lid pivot shaft to prevent removal of the lid pivot shaft from the channel.

A dispenser is provided for dispensing tablets. The dispenser generally includes a housing and a compartment. The compartment is pivotable with respect to the housing between a dispensing position and a non-dispensing position. The dispenser may also include a biasing member to bias the compartment to the non-dispensing position and a rib to resist accidental pivoting of the compartment.

Tablet dispenser

A dispensing closure system (A,B,C,D) is provided with a peripheral wall or closure body (A,B,C,D) for extending from a container. In one form of the system, at least one lid (orA orA/B orB/D orD) includes a latch post (D) for being received in a latch aperture (D) in a rim (D) of the peripheral wall (A,B,C,D) to increase the opening resistance of the lid. In another form of the system, two lids (andA andA/B andB/D andD) are molded with the body (A,B,C,D) as a unitary structure, and the lids are closable over two openings (A,A/B,B/C,C/D,D).

Closure with one or more lids

A closure is provided for an opening in a container having a wall around the opening and at least one thread on the wall. The closure includes (1) an attachment wall defining at least one thread for threadingly engaging the container wall thread, (2) an occlusion wall closing the attachment wall to occlude the container opening when the container is in the closed position, and (3) a continuously curving, peripheral, finger-engaging surface which defines (1) a plurality of circumferentially spaced protuberances, (2) a finger-receiving recess between adjacent protuberances, and (3) a finger-engaging rib projecting laterally from each of the protuberances.
