The preferred embodiments of the present invention provide two advantageous features, which are especially beneficial in combination, but which can be advantageously and beneficially employed independently of one another: (1) firstly, a self-cooling motor bearing system; and (2) secondly, a self-lubricating motor bearing system. In the preferred embodiments, one or both of these two advantageous features are integrated inside an electric motor (e.g., within the electric motor's enclosure housing) in such a manner as to greatly enhance bearing operating conditions (e.g., maintaining adequate bearing lubrication and/or bearing operating temperature) without the use of external lubrication units and/or external cooling units.

Self-cooled and-or self lubricated electric motor bearing systems

An improved can opener for removing the tops of cans of both straight sided tin can containers and containers having recessed tops such as commonly found in extruded aluminum cans used in the beverage industry. The improvement modifies the conventional hand held, two handle can opener commonly available of the type in which the handles pivotally separate to allow entrance of the can bead for engagement by lower traction wheel and an upper cutting wheel, the improvement being an extended rest protruding perpendicularly outward and against which the recessed top containers may be positioned and held in that position in order to be engaged by the traction wheel upon the lower end of the bead and the cutter wheel through the top. The extended rest holds the recessed top container at the proper angle with respect to the traction wheel and cutter wheel, in order to sever the top of a recessed top can, permitting the rotation of the container by the traction wheel under the cutter wheel until the top has been completely severed.

Can opener

An adaptor for utilizing disposable type containers of paint with a siphon-type spray paint gun wherein after the usual paint can that is attached to the commercially available spray paint guns is removed, the rapid placement and quick removal adaptor attaches to the spray gun siphon tube in a fixed configuration, the adaptor configured to receive and secure a disposable type container filled with paint in order that small paint jobs or touch-up painting may be accomplished more efficiently. The means by which the adaptor attaches to the spray gun siphon tube additionally includes a vent for venting the interior of the disposable can from which paint is removed for spraying.

A device to remove concentric knockouts from electrical apparatus comprising a pair of handles adapted to open and close about a pivotal point, a first and second lever attached to the handles proximate their pivotal point, said levers having a common fulcrum or pivotal point interposed one end, and a shearing and punch assembly attached to the other ends. The shearing and punch assembly comprises an elongated shaft pivotally attached at the free end of the first lever with a rounded enlarged punching nose on the other end, the shaft encircled by a plurality of concentric cylinders, the inner cylinder of which is pivotally attached to the free end of the second lever and the outer of the concentric cylinders rotatable in a nonslidable position about the inner cylinder, the outer cylinder having attached to its periphery a shear segment which extends beyond the end of the cylinder, the elongated shaft permitted to slide interiorly to the inner cylinder whereby metal concentric or eccentric knockouts in electrical apparatus may be placed between the shaft enlarged nose and the shearing segment, such that when the shaft enlarged nose is drawn towards the shearing segment, the metal will be sheared; the shaft nose end also adapted to punch out a pre-punched center knockout in electrical apparatus before the concentric knockouts are sheared by the tool.
