A system, method, and computer-readable medium are disclosed for entitling the implementation of a feature associated with a device after it is manufactured. A feature entitlement management system receives a device's unique identifier, which is then processed to determine which features associated with the device are available for implementation. Once determined, the available features are provided to the user of the device, who in turn selects a feature for implementation. A feature entitlement is then generated by performing late binding entitlement operations to associate the selected feature's corresponding entitlement data with the device's unique identifier. The resulting feature entitlement is then is processed to implement the selected feature.

Distributing content over a network includes providing an information handling system (IHS) with an interface module used to couple to a signal from a content provider. A virtual IHS management engine dynamically creates a virtual IHS. The virtual IHS then receives the signal. An interface for transmitting the signal from the virtual IHS to a network is also provided.

An emergency service provider contact system includes a portable chassis. A processor is housed in the portable chassis. A storage, a communications module, at least one sensor, and a display are coupled to the processor and housed in the portable chassis. A non-transitory, computer-readable medium is housed in the portable chassis, coupled to the processor, and includes instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to monitor the at least one sensor and, in response to detecting an alert event through the at least one sensor, search the storage using the alert event to retrieve contact information for at least one emergency service provider that is associated with the alert event, and contact the emergency service provider through the communications module using the contact information.

A system and method of accessing digital video broadcasts within an information handling system is disclosed. In one form, a digital video broadcast processing system can include a digital video broadcast receiver module operable to process a first digital video broadcast data received within a multiple channel digital video broadcast signal and to output the first digital video broadcast data to an interconnect bus of a computer system. The digital video broadcast processing system can also include a communication interface operable to be removeably coupled to an interconnect bus interface of the computer system. The communication interface can be operable to communicate the first digital video broadcast data, including an interconnect dependent data format, from the digital video broadcast receiver module to a digital video processing application of the computer system.
