The invention provides a toner composition comprising resin particles, a colorant, and a toner additive, wherein the toner additive comprises carbon-silica dual phase particles, wherein the carbon-silica dual phase particles comprise aggregates of carbon black comprising at least one silicon-containing region, and wherein the carbon-silica dual phase particles are distributed on the surface of the resin particles. The invention also provides a method of preparing the aforesaid toner composition.

Air laden with biodegradable volatile organic compounds is passed sequentially through a first filter bed containing a biologically inert filter media and a second filter bed containing a biologically active filter media. Water is present in the biologically active filter media and the biologically inert filter media. Water that drains from the second filter bed is collected and supplied to the first filter bed.

Biological filter apparatus

A method for preparing thermoplastic toner resins is disclosed and the toner resins produced by said method. More particularly, an emulsion polymerized resin, constituting a high molecular weight component, is used as a seed for subsequent suspension polymerization of a lower molecular weight component. The emulsion micelles are swelled with monomers and subsequent suspension polymerization produces particles where the high and low molecular weight components are interpenetrated to form a resin with a bimodal distribution of molecular weight. A toner composition is made using the resin as the main component. The resin particle has a first resin portion having a particle size in the range of about 50 to about 200 nm. and a number average molecular weight in the range of about 10,to about 10,, and a second resin portion formed around the first resin portion with a number average molecular weight lower than that of said first resin portion, the resin having a polydispersity in the range of 5 to 50.

A device to speed golf play by accurately and quickly measuring distances a golf ball lies from a turnable flagstick (20 FIG. 1A, mozat part of invention) containing two similar bodies (10 and 11 FIGS. 1 and 2) wrapped centrally around said flagstick with a 90 degree rotational measuring arm (22 FIG. 5) held in a slot (15 FIG. 2A) by a pin (14 FIG. 2) with a plumb bob (29 FIG. 5) at one end pointing downward from a numbered position to pinpoint the exact distance toward said turnable flagstick within which measure a putted golf ball must lie for the next putt to be counted and conceded so that the ball may be picked up without putting. When not in use, a gripping device (23 FIG. 5) at the outer end of arm (22 FIG. 5) will hold said arm (22 FIG. 5) to flagstick (20 FIG. 1A) when rotated 45 degrees upward.

A toner composition is disclosed capable of developing electrostatically charged images formed on an electrophotographic member, comprising styrene-based resin particles, pigment particles, a charge-control agent and an ethylenebisamide compound. The toner has superior grinding, lubricating and anti-offset properties.

A tee and green structure for a game to be played within the confines of an open-air or domed sports arena. The tee structure includes a hitting tee mounted on a rail system which enables the orientation of the tee surface to be altered. Included in the rail system is a plurality of ties and a pair of substantially parallel rails which engage a correspondingly constructed wheel assembly of the hitting tee. The hitting tee includes a frame which supports a hitting deck over which grass sod is positioned. At the opposing end of the arena's playing field is a green structure surrounded by various playing hazards. The green structure is also movable and includes a putting surface formed by a seamed carpet positioned over an elevated putting deck. The deck is elevated by a plurality of upright supports varying in height and having angled upper surfaces. The upright supports extend from and are secured to a support frame. The upper angle of the surfaces and the height of the upright supports thus induce intricate contours and elevational changes into the putting surface making for a challenging game.

Tee and green structures for a golf-type game

A leg support structure is disclosed for use with a removable table leaf to enable the table leaf to be used as a separate stand alone table. The support structure includes a pair of side support members which support the table leaf along the longitudinal side edges thereof and includes vertical leg portions for supporting the structure on a floor. A pair of end support brackets are attached to corresponding legs from the two side support members to form a rectangular support structure for the table leaf. The side support members are constructed such that the length can be varied to accommodate table leaves of various lengths and the end support brackets are constructed so that the width of the leg support structure can also be varied to accommodate leaves of various widths.

Leg structure for supporting a table leaf for use as a separate table

A game apparatus and eighteen hole golf course having a structure which supports three separate gaming levels facing a player for use in competitive entertainment and for developing the player's chipping and pitching golf stroke wherein the player or participants stand in front of the apparatus, places the ball on a hitting surface, and properly strokes the ball to propel the ball on an arch so that it might penetrate a selected and numbered initial aperture in a flexible target means on any of the selected gaming levels and, if possible, to subsequently penetrate a second aligned and more inacessible aperture and to lodge in its catching net attached to the holding board that retains the catching net. The location of the ball after each stroke will determine the player's score for each hole and indicate skill level, which score can then be tallied on the eighteen hole scorecard detailing rules of play.

Game apparatus

Apparatus is disclosed for construction of a bicycle path on the berm of roadways, or the like, and includes standard components such as rails, runners, shim members and spikes whereby the path can be constructed either on existing berms or as part of new construction projects, and a smooth surface for bicycle travel will be provided by endless runners that have side boundaries defined by rails.
