An appliance module includes a food container support surface movable between cooking and holding positions. An appliance module includes a receptacle having a holding well that can be selectively configured in a generally horizontal position or an inclined position.

A food holding apparatus and associated components and methods. The food holding apparatus includes multiple food receivers configured to be independently controlled to heat or cool food received therein. The food holding apparatus includes a refrigeration system. Components of the refrigeration system are mounted on a sled movable between stowed and access positions to facilitate access to the components. The food holding apparatus can include touch screen controls, serpentine-shaped bar heating elements, and/or other features.

A food preparation assembly for use in cleaning food products generally includes a tank for holding washing fluid for use in cleaning food products positioned within the tank, and a pump in fluidic communication with the tank to provide movement of the washing fluid within the tank for use in cleaning the food products when positioned within the tank. A processing module is configured to receive settings from a user for cleaning the food products, and to monitor and adjust, as necessary, parameters of the washing fluid based on the user input settings. The processing module is also configured to report and/or store measured values of the parameters of the washing fluid in addition to select user defined input information (e.g., user defined wash settings, etc.). Labels may also be generated indicative of completion of cleaning of the food products by the food preparation assembly.

A method for monitoring tank water replacement of a kitchenware washing assembly generally includes automatically determining whether a counted number of wash cycles is equal to or exceeds a preset value. The method also includes automatically controlling one or more operations of the kitchenware washer assembly where the counted number of wash cycles is equal to or exceeds the preset value.

A rack system is provided that is suitable, for example, for installation to a kitchenware washing assembly. The kitchenware washing assembly may include a tank for holding fluid for washing kitchenware, and walls defining the tank and being arranged to hold the fluid in the tank. The rack system generally includes a mounting fixture connectable to the tank of the kitchenware washing assembly, and a rack connectable to the mounting fixture for holding the kitchenware in the tank. The rack is adjustable relative to the mounting fixture between a first position in which the rack is connected to the mounting fixture, and a second position in which the rack is connected to the mounting fixture.

A kitchenware washing assembly in one embodiment generally includes a tank for holding fluid for washing kitchenware. The tank can include two wall portions, and an outlet positioned on each of the two wall portions. The kitchenware washing assembly can also include at least one inlet and at least two pumps for pumping the fluid from the inlet to the outlets. The kitchenware washing assembly can further include a control system with a consolidated removable control module. The consolidated removable control module may include a plurality of electronic components for substantially controlling at least one operation of the washing assembly.

Kitchenware washers and methods of manufacturing the same

A kitchenware washing assembly in one embodiment generally includes a tank having an inside for holding fluid for washing kitchenware, and a heater for heating fluid within the inside of the tank. At least one securing device releasably secures the heater within the tank. The securing device has a releasing portion located within the tank that allows the securing device to be released solely from within the tank. In this embodiment, the heater can thus be removed from and/or installed within the tank without having to crawl under the tank.
