A system connected to an existing computer includes a unit for monitoring the screen and provides input, a storage unit that stores data that pairs screen buffer regions with authentication details, wherein the system learns new pairs via user training and presents stored authentication details when the screen buffer regions match a related stored region which is paired with a region of the screen, and a unit that determines which of stored passwords need to be presented to the system by a pattern matching of regions of screen pixels.

An aspect of the disclosure includes a natural gas leakage detection device. The natural gas leakage device includes a metering interface for detecting usage of natural gas. A clock is provided to determine time of day and one or more predetermined times when no natural gas usage is expected. A first sensor is used to determine whether a furnace is operating. A monitoring device is provided. The monitoring device being operable during the one or more predetermined times when no natural gas usage is expected, to monitor the metering interface and the first sensor and to perform an action in response to natural gas usage being detected during the one or more predetermined times when no natural gas usage is expected and the first sensor determines that the furnace is not operating.

Apparatus and method are provided for testing continuity of a ring circuit of an electricity distribution system, the ring circuit including at least a first conductor connecting, in a ring configuration, a source of electricity to a plurality of accessories. The apparatus includes: a switch arranged to cause a break in the ring circuit at a location in the ring circuit, the break resulting in a first end and a second end of the ring circuit at the location; a detector for measuring the relative voltage between the first end and the second end of the ring circuit; and an indicator which indicates, responsive to the detector detecting a relative voltage between the first end and the second end of the ring circuit, that there is a lack of continuity in the ring circuit.

The method may include crowd-sourcing a data message configured to include a textual passage. The method may include collecting, from a plurality of speakers, a set of vocal data for the textual passage. Additionally, the method may also include mapping a source voice profile to a subset of the set of vocal data to synthesize the aggregate voice.

Mechanisms are provided for representing white space in a graphical representation of a data model. These mechanisms involve analyzing output data that is to be output to a user via an output device, to identify white spaces in the output data. White spaces comprise portions of a range of metrics of output data values where the output data does not have data objects representing those portions of the range of metrics of output data. For each identified white space, a white space data object is created. The white space data objects are provided to an application which performs an operation on the white space data objects to output the white space data objects in a manner that identifies the white space data objects differently from non-white space data objects in the output data.

A rule construction interface is provided for constructing rules for a rule set of the complex event processing system, where the rules include definitions of one or more detected events and corresponding actions. In response to an identification of a new event or action during the rule construction process via the rule construction interface, a corresponding event or action logical construct is generated for representing the event or action in the complex event processing system. An intermediate logical construct is generated to provide a data connection for the event or action logical construct. The event or action logical construct is linked to a corresponding action or event logical construct via the intermediate logical construct so as to enable data flow between the objects.

Construction of rules for use in a complex event processing system

A flexible resilient member at least partially overlying an electrical switch, and attached to an external surface of the switch, comprises at least one signalling component operable on operation of the underlying switch. The member may be in the form of a membrane, for example, formed of an elastomeric material. The signalling component may emit wireless signals which may be received by a monitoring component.
