Exemplary embodiments for reconfiguring a storage system comprise a modular sensor platform, comprising: a base module comprising, a display, a processor, a memory and a communication interface; a band removably coupled to the base module such that the band is replaceable with different types of bands; and a sensor module that collects data from a user, the sensor module in communication with the base module and removably coupled to the band such that the sensor module is replaceable with different types of sensor modules, the sensor module further comprising a plurality of sensor units that are removably coupled to the sensor module such that individual sensor units are replaceable with different types of sensor units.

Modular sensor platform

A wearable system and methods for measuring physiological data from a device worn about a body part of a user is provided comprising a base module, a first sensor module, and a second sensor module. The base module comprises a display and a base computing unit. The first sensor module measures a gravitational force experienced by the device. The second sensor module is spatially positioned relative to the base module and over a portion of the body part for measuring one or more physiological characteristics calibrated based on the gravitational force measured with the first sensor module. The base module is adjustably positioned by the user relative to the second sensor module such that the sensor module maintains its positioning over the body part for sufficient contact with the body part for accurate measurements of physiological data regardless of the anthropometric size of the body part.

Adjustable wearable system having a modular sensor platform

A device measuring an electrical activity of a heart and being wearable on a body part of a user. The device comprises a strap configurable to be fitted over the body part, and having an interior surface contacting the body part when worn by the user, and an exterior surface facing away from the body part. The device also includes a first sensor that is disposed on the interior surface. The first sensor is configurable to be in contact with the body part. The device also includes a clasp having a second sensor that is electrically insulated from the first sensor. The first sensor and the second sensor receive data indicative of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal of the user when the clasp holding the strap over the body part contacts a different body part of the user.

A system wearable on a body part of a user. The system includes an electronic device powered by a primary power source, and a circuitry coupled to the electronic device. The system also includes a removable secondary power source configured to charge the primary power source with secondary power when coupled to the circuitry.

Exemplary embodiments for self-aligning a sensor array with respect to blood vessel of a user comprise: determining an optimal sensor in a sensor array comprising an array of discrete sensors arranged on a band such that the sensor array straddles or otherwise addresses a blood vessel or other targeted area of a user by activating each of the discrete sensors to generate respective signals; designating as the optimal discrete sensor a particular discrete sensor producing a highest signal-to-noise ratio; and using the optimal sensor to collect physiological data of the user.
